< report >But you can see it at a glance. It's the column between tag power and note. Literally called "others spoiler" which goes from 0.00 to 2.00. You don't have to go to the entry page to check.

< report >I think it would be great if we could add a "Recommendations" / "More like this" section to VN pages.
This would contain user-created reviews that link 2 different VNs together, pointing out what's similar (and enjoyable) about them. MyAnimeList uses a system like that, and I personally appreciate it a lot.

I know you could say "well that's what tags are for", but I think there's a big difference between two works sharing a few tags in common VS genuinely being comparable in terms of enjoyment.
(It's also different from Relations, since Recommendations are intended for VNs from different franchises.)

#927 link
This is a good start, but not really what I meant.
Rather than an automated, tag-based system, I was suggesting an alternate form of user reviews.

Likewise, I now see that /r/vnsuggest is a thing, but it's nowhere near as organized or accessible as recommendations directly on a VN's page would be. I really enjoy browsing the reviews on here, so I think expanding them would be a great idea.

< report >This is related to t15877 (multi-language releases and updates):

It is currently left to the whims of the editor whether and how to indicate why a new release was created, so you get mistaken edits like r62915.5 where the Chinese addition update was confused for the original Japanese/English release.

It would therefore be useful with some means or standard with which to mark a release as having been superseded by another release. I guess this could either be through explicit support in the data model or through a FAQ providing a standard for linking superseded/superseding releases, similar to d5#5. Adding support to the data model would obviously be more work, but it would make it possible to indicate such releases on a VN page (for example by using a lighter text color), which would potentially make it easier to navigate the release lists of VNs with many content/language updates.

< report >I think having proper release relations (Requires this release, supersedes some other release) etc would be pretty useful to have in the model. Just needs to be worked out a bit further.

< report >A small suggestion based on t15877.29, since I also hadn't noticed that you could filter the Recent/Upcoming Releases on the front page:

How about an info-icon with a tool-tip placed next to each header, or something like it, that points out that you just need to set a default filter: link

< report >Yorhel, you probably haven't noticed t8242.530, so I'll make a request here to add Latin language to the db.

< report >Johren is selling quite a number of VNs at this point (link), so it would be useful if it was supported in External Links.

< report >Maybe the number of icons you can have on the "just released" and "upcoming releases" on the front page should be limited somwhat as there's currently a release with every language under the sun which doesn't show any other part of its name other than "the". I don't know what would happen if it had a few more languages but I presume it wouldn't be good.
