Description

In the early stages of the Edo period, Kayo lives with her father in a food & tea house. One day, she was asked by the Princess of Sunpu Castellan for an odd favor. Because they are splitting images of each other, she was asked to take her place in a marriage promenade…

Bewildered, but with her mind set, Kayo departs on a journey from Tokaido region with six samurai for bodyguards on a marriage promenade to Edo, Hakone, Mishima, up till the destination in Sunpu.

On the way towards Edo, she becomes caught up in youkai with destructive abilities, as well as the ‘Sword Retrieving Imperial Match’ that concerns the legendary five great swords, which is really a cover for a sickening ritual being performed…

Through the crisscrossing and intertwining of paths, finally the road splits into two: One, living with the sword in the path of war. Two, living with you in the path of peace.

The destiny they find their way through to is…?

<report>Ken ga Kimi is one of my fave otome games! ( ˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵ )
I love Rejet and KgK is one of their best titles.
I like all LIs, but Sakyou is my best boy!! ❤

Pros: wonderful story, art, CGs and music! The routes are amazing and the 4 endings are perfect!!
Cons: long common route.

I cried on some routes and screamed a lot!!! (*ฅ́ ˘ฅ̀*)
I love almost everything about this game. I started playing the FD. One day I intend to continue! :)

<report>Pros
- Art was beautiful
- Music was perfectly chosen
- Sprites were very expressive. They would move around (pacing, "sitting", "crouching", and expressions would change mid thought/sentence. They would go from smiling, to glaring, to surprised all within the same sentence without you needing to click the screen.
- Overall story was well executed. Even though there was some repetition, each character had their own hardships to solve that made the routes feel different enough from each other
- Jump skip to next choice feature
- Skip read feature was insanely fast that I didn't feel like I needed to use the jump skip
- Multiple endings that branch off and sometimes give a complete different... Read more »

<report>Ken ga Kimi (non-spoiler review/rant)

Came across this game during my trip to Japan and bought it on a whim. Finally, after almost a year, I finished the game so here's the review/rant/analysis.

剣が君 Ken ga Kimi (literal eng translation is "Sword is you"), gets its title from its entire theme:
"The sword, equivalent to his life, is wielded for you"

Some info:
- In this beautifully written story, each LI has 4 ends. Common route is 8 chp + LI route 6 chp (Long game!)
- 2 ends from the Ken (sword) route where he chooses the path of the sword
- 2 ends from the Kimi (you) route where he chooses to pursue a relationship with you
- There is no concept of bad/happy/best end in this game. It's... Read more »
