Description

Suou: "Is it wrong if I fall in love with a girl?"

Surrounded by immense walls in the middle of a forest, lies the prestigious all-girls school, Saint Angraecum Academy. It's a school that prides itself on growing bright and cultured young women.

The school's Amitié program is designed to help foster new friendships that will last a lifetime. This is why Suoh Shirahane, a painfully shy girl with a mysterious past, has enrolled. As her first year of high school begins, she is filled with hopes of a new life.

Follow her as she navigates her new friendships and attempts to unravel the many mysteries at the academy, including occult rituals and the mysterious disappearance of fellow students, all while trying to pass her classes.

As spring warms into summer, so does Suoh's friendships until they too blossom into a love that is something more. More importantly, who will she choose?

<report>Shocked at the amount of petty drama. Hilariously bad mysteries, but luckily they're relatively unimportant beyond providing the MC something other characters can be impressed by. The actual endings feel cut short or lacking, almost to the point of sequelbait, but I'll see how things play out in the next games. Despite that, the emotional climaxes land decently well enough, and I don't think I ever questioned why these characters like each other. Pretty desperately needs a polyamory ending IMO, moreso than my usual pining for poly endings.

<report>The christian setting is not very intrusive and you can just skip related filler lines.

The novel stands on its characters. They are all well developed and the protagonist is probably the most well developed from the vn's I read, with amazing character development. She is a bit of a Mary Sue but I did not mind that. Having a shy/low self confidence MC is also a breath of fresh air.

The art is probably the best in the medium. OST is pretty good but nothing special.

At first I thought this was going to be a pure slice of life yuri romance but there are also light mystery elements and drama (look elsewhere for pure happiness/moege). This was a plus for me though because it kept me interested in the story.

There are many choices but you have to use a guide, at least for certain parts.

<report>The art and music are beautiful.

The setting is interesting. Just familiar enough and just mysterious enough.

The story and its characters are good too.

What really lets this VN down is the writing. The characters all have very unnatural ways of speaking (may have to do with the translation), and far too much time is spent on “Tee hee, a pretty girl touched my hand,” moments. The MC being powerfully attracted to literally every woman she comes into contact with EVERY time she comes into contact with them gets old fast. I’m hopeful that the other three Flowers VNs are better, as indicated by their vndb rating. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be that eager to read the rest after this one.

<report>FLOWERS -Le Volume sur Printemps- is an beautiful introduction to a 4-part Yuri visual novel about realistic adolescent relationships.

With the VN set in a catholic boarding school for girls, the watercolor pastel artwork and relaxing soundtrack aid its elegant and delicate atmosphere.

Its lead character, Suoh, portrays the soft-spoken introvert perfectly, increasing her personal relatability, to where her passive nature moves the story at a naturally slow pace.

However, as she overcomes her social difficulties, we get to see her form intimate complex relationships with her two other roommates.

<report>Seeing that this is a work from Innocent Grey, I may have raised my expectations.

The story is rather lackluster, and the whole "mystery" aspects are really shoddy and not thrown together in any clever manner, highly unlike their other works. Even their first release has way better detective elements and story telling than this title, even if the former is a tad rough around the edges.

Now the characters were really well written & designed, all of them have their own charm except for Yuzuriha; your typical flirty anime dyke who uses excessive innuendo & male pronouns (Eww).

The one silver lining to this is that the sequels are supposedly better. I Am looking forward to seeing these endearing characters in a better written scenario.

Overall boring. 7/10

<report>Did you come by because this makes you feels nostalgic?
O’ my pals, Marimite with you (amen.)

Well, joking aside...
Yep! You have come to the right place! Couldn’t agree more!

White and pure yuri,
love? or like?,
innocent gray has brought us a light!

This is not hardcore yuri, so if your yuri power is strong enough you will be able to feel it.
This vn might not the best but it will lead you to better as the story goes on.
Also, this game is made of mystery and yuri (50-50) so you might need to use lots of brains to get through it.

I think this game is worth to be played.
It might or might not able to catch your heart.
At least, it sure can soothe you.

Bless you all a wonderful yuri!!

<report>The world thaws, the air crispens, spring heralds its advent.
Winds of change aflutter, beckoning the promise of new attachment.

Allured by its pleasing, handmade touch of its artwork, the first volume of the Flowers series marks my plunge into the Yuri scene and the world of Innocent Grey.

And to reiterate, the artwork is beautiful and in very good taste. It’s actually refreshing to see for once that the artist was quite tempered with the chest proportions, even when it was mentioned several times that some of the girls had big measurements. The music is for the most part enjoyable; “Color” is my standout. I liked the voice acting, particularly Mayuri’s and Yuzuriha’s. Yuzuriha needs... Read more »

<report>Honestly, I wish I hadn't wasted my time reading this. I think there is a lot going for this title but ultimately just does not appeal to me with the way things turned out. To anyone who has not read this and is on the fence and wants a more fluffy yuri story then you may easily skip this one. Though even now I am debating on reading the next title but I don't think I will in the end.

The first strike against the game is Rikka and how they made me dislike her as she forces a relationship with Suou. It made it difficult to even try to get her ending and when I did I had to scoff in disappointment. Even in her route she forces herself into a relationship and then Suou just goes eh nah I like...
