"Stop acting like before."

Our relationship gets cold and distant. It's only me who believed in our eternal friendship. What made us like this...? "Ayanashisai Festival" Each person was given their own color.

<report>I've read this visual novel a long time ago, when I still wasn't very good with Japanese. So most of the "word magic" was lost on me, which didn't stop me from enjoying the experience as a whole. It has one of the most emotional beginnings I've read, close to the level of Muramasa. Then it slows down for a while, only to hit you with some dark events and then with some unexpected badassery.

This novel is somehow unusual in the way that the MC has canon romance and you can't "date all the cute girls" like in a typical VN even if it kind of tricks you into thinking that you can. The plot at the end wasn't honestly my cup of tea, but the ending itself was nice.

Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a non-standard story for the genre.

<report>I think the best praise I can give Asairo is just how absurdly well paced it is.
You're never left wondering when a scene will end, or feeling like the story is rushing itself. Everything always develops at what feels like the perfect speed.

Iconic music, great humor that never oversteps its bounds into the more serious moments, and a much easier plot to follow compared to Shumon Yuu's previous works (or so I've been told).

<report>1.The words are beauty.
2.The paces are comfortable.
3.The bgms are harmonize.
4.The atmosphere is very elegant.
But

1.The heroine is suppressed by others.
2.The villain's purpose is unclear.
3.Lack of logic

<report>[This article may have some mild conceptual/structural spoilers in its body. The “On Naming” section has moderate, but comparatively unimportant spoilers.]

Kitto, Sumiwataru Asairo Yori mo (Asairo), written by Shumon Yuu, is a multifacted work. On the surface, it tells a very human tale – about relationships & the impact that people have on one another. Beneath the surface, like the reflection of a lake pool, it develops an intricate, at times cryptic folklore-inspired mystery. Yuu imparts this story by weaving wordplay and symbolism into his writing – surprisingly, while the prose feels well thought-out (elegant), it remains very approachable. All of this is bettered by Yuu’s personal... Read more »
