Description

Nora lives together in Sakuragabuchi with Shachi, a girl younger than him whom his mother had adopted. After his mother’s passing, they were able to grow up just fine with the support of those around them. Shachi loves Nora very much, and wakes up him every day while straddling him in bed. Then they head to school and enjoy their time with their friends, including their childhood friend and discipline committee head Michi, and his cheerful gyaru-like kouhai Yuuki.

One day, Nora came upon a girl named Patricia in a park on his way to school. She was a Princess of the Underworld and she came to the world of the living on her mother’s orders to destroy everything and remind humans of death. However, the life energies were too strong for her and she was overwhelmed by it. Nora took care of her while she was feeling ill, and she fell in love with him as a result. She asked him to explain the ‘mysteries of life’, but why does that include reading porn books...!?

<report>This was my first VN played and all in japanese, so I didn't have complete comprehension. Writer's style was easy to follow after a bit, it took me upwards of 100 hours since I was reading at a slow pace. I really liked the weird twists on Patricia, Kuroki, and Asuhara's routes, wasn't a fan of Shachi etc. Now, a lot of slice of life moments and really weird scene transitions so one has to just go in for the ride, and I wasn't a huge fan of the H scenes. Otherwise a good beginner VN I would agree with. ~700-800k characters total for 100% completion.

I probably won't forget this VN, had a lot of fun!

<report>One thing for sure, this VN is totally not for everyone.
It's pretty whimsical, full of weird stuffs and still can catch your attention if you focus in it.
Sachi's route is especially touching for me as I'm pretty weak to family stuffs. I do have complaint about the BGM being unfit for the situations(But this is also what made this VN unique), thankfully I can still finish reading it without much trouble.
The occasional drama and them acting like nothing happened is just how our society is like. People close to us acting as if nothing is bothering them even though they're all facing their own hardships. Pretty relatable I'd say

<report>Visually/technically good VN that is surprisingly dull in terms of narrative itself. A lot of unnecessary drama, boring twists, just t-e-x-t (it has 4 routes, only 1 of them is merely good bc not so expanded).
Apart from comedy parts and scenes, it has one word to describe – boring. You know, this is not uninteresting, not awful at all, but throughout almost all the reading you have that "oh cmon I get it next" thought in your head.
I wonder what it has in the second part (maybe that novel has it's high ratings accordingly to h-content that is unavailable on the Steam platform), but obviously not for the full price, just like that too.

One thing: if you're an anime-fan or 16 y.o or both – give it a try, but for those who are experienced in VN stuff that's a no-no.

Pato-ya! Patorishia-ya!

<report>It was many years ago that I first played Noratoto for the first time. By then, I managed to finish Patricia and Yuuki's routes only and stopped midway Kuroki's route. After playing Monkeys, also by Hato, and with Noratoto 3 announced, I thought I'd go ahead and slowly finish this and 2 again.

In summary, Noratoto 1 has Hato's trademark dialogues, alongside an amazing voice actor cast, but also suffer from pacing issues and very uneven heroine routes. It's also glaring (and honestly, fairly silly) the excuses the author uses for h-scenes ,like when to cure the curse and reverse Nora's tail from being grown, you must kiss "the other side" of it.
This also doesn't help maintaining a... Read more »
