Description

High school student Akamatsu Kaede is kidnapped and awakens trapped in Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles, where she meets 15 fellow students including Saihara Shuuichi. The group is abruptly accosted by a series of bear robots, known as Monokubs who expose them to a "Flashback Light," a flashlight similar to a neuralyzer. When Kaede next awakens the students, they remember having ultimate talents, with Kaede as the "Ultimate Pianist" and Shuuichi as the "Ultimate Detective". Monokuma - a robotic bear - arrives and informs the students that the only way to escape the academy is to successfully murder another student and not be voted as the culprit at the resulting trial.

<report>My favorite danganronpa game, for so many reasons. First and probably the biggest one is the characters. They were my favorite ones from all the games, and they're genuinely very interesting. The updated UI is also very nice. The story is probably not as good as in the second one but i really liked it, and its a very good end to the series. To the people who keep asking for one more game, i get you i was also there, but you didn't get this game's ending.

<report>Danganronpa V3 is not a perfect game.

On the surface level, it lacks polish in a variety of areas. Even though many aspects of the game make it feel like it had a much greater budget than the previous 2 mainline entries, the spritework has some inconsistencies, and the CGs can vary from alright to pretty unintentionally funny in how bad they are. There's also a few missed opportunities in the main story, or areas where it feels like they were afraid to diverge from the standard formula. But aside from these flaws, it probably is the best experience in the DR series. The gameplay is solid, the characters (with the exception of one or two who die too quickly to make a mark) are compelling, and it offers everything the first two games did and then some. It's a fun time.

<report>Definitely the most solid and consistent Danganronpa. Despite this, it falls a little short to me in some ways in comparison to Danganronpa 2. The overall cast just doesn't feel as fun or interesting as Danganronpa 2, this inevitably impacts the cases and bonding events. However, it should be said that the main trio is by far the best main trio in the series and Kokichi is amazing. I would also say that this game does a better job with its themes compared to the other two and I found the clash between truth and lies to be more compelling than hope and despair.

<report>Reviewing a Danganronpa game feels like reviewing an Ace Attorney game: however you feel about one of them, it seems likely you're going to feel similarly about the other ones. This one brings back a similar setting as the original, and much like the original, the game starts out really strong. Unfortunately, the main trio are just not that interesting, the other characters are all (still) obnoxious caricatures, there's a lot of farting around, and then you get to the end. The truth behind the story's mystery is pretty appalling, and you'll probably either love it or hate it. I don't know. You're reading this review, so you probably played the first two, right? You already know if you're gonna like this game or not. Don't be me, and imagine that you'll get something different this time.

<report>If you liked the last two games you're going to like this one as well as it's more of the same. Same great core mechanics, same terrible time wasting filler surrounding it, and an ending which is the weakest part of the game. I still love them, flaws and all.

<report>A cool and unique way to complete a series

If you're a fan of danganronpa, this game will not disappoint you. It features a school where each floor has its own unique theme and a variety of minigames.

8/10

<report>Danganronpa but they perfected the formula. Gameplay is the best its ever been, the extra modes are fun and enjoying, and the story is great too. While its lacking in some aspects, and can seem a bit repetitive, its a genuinely fun experience that I'd recommend to any danganronpa fan.

<report>Maki Rolls and Kaede are best girl, ending is uh...interesting. 1st case was great, 2nd case was eh, 3rd case was...incest, 4th case was creative , 5th case was also really good, but I think I kept comparing it to 2-5 too much, final case was...well, I kind of feel conflicted in more ways then one. All in all though, I don't regret the 2 times I've experienced it.

<report>I finished V3, and with that the whole franchise, I don't have more Danganronpa to play and probably no new Danganronpa will be announced, I feel sad but it's something that every fan of something has gone through, unfortunately everything has an end.
This is by far my favorite Visual Novel franchise I will fondly remember you Danganronpa, even with all the weaknesses and flaws, you were such an inspiring and immersive work for me, since the first game you have always stirred my emotions as if it were a real person.
I remember everything I felt with the plots, characters, the environment along with the music, the feeling of immersion in a really unique experience, thank you so much for existing.
