Description

Meet Sousuke, our protagonist. He's just your average student, living in a rural town. Ever since his father remarried when he was young, he's been living together with his little sister Nanaru.

Together with his childhood friend Maho and their other friends, they have fun geeking out at school in the Otaku Club (or the "BC," as they like to call it).

Sousuke enjoys those tranquil, peaceful days... But then one day, only one month before summer break, that peace is shattered.

"I've missed you so, so much... Nii-san!!"

It's his blood-related little sister! His beloved little sister, who had gone with their mother after the divorce, and she's back! Suzu silently flaunted her status as the 'real' sister at school, at home, and out around town, while stepsister Nanaru was just left feeling awkward and out of place.

Stepsister Nanaru: "It's too late to come in here claiming to be the 'real' sister, I've already trained him, hohoho."

Real sister Suzu: "Fine! I'll just RE-TRAIN him!!"

"This is bad. This is VERY bad. My sisters are going completely haywire!"

But if that wasn't bad enough for our poor protagonist, now some upperclassman called Shiina, who 'forced herself' to fall in love with Sousuke at first sight, appears! And if you thought the childhood friend Maho was still normal, too bad! She's acting slightly bonkers too. What is our poor protagonist going to DO?!

This is only the beginning of a wacky, zany love triangle fiasco hot enough to cool the summer heat (no guarantees).

<report>I know plenty of Visual novels that wear the comedy tag prominently. However I don't remember the last time I genuinely couldn't breathe from laughing while playing the game, within the first few hours of Sankaku, Souske and the entire cast are easily likable. On the surface, Sankaku Renai love triangle appears to be another typical romcom game, you are dead wrong buddy, it's a parody of your everyday Otaku highschool romcom and it's meant to be seen as generic Moege, in fact it takes the stereotype "love triangle" and makes fun of it. A nice change of pace compared to what we usually get in the Genre. Btw I'm Hiroki - Razuma

<report>A lot of the jokes fall flat and most of the characters feel bland. The only reason I'm giving this a 6 if because of Kisu Shiina. She is the most interesting character in the whole cast and all of the jokes that managed to make me laugh involved her in some way, she even made me laugh during the H scenes. She's worth those 6 points alone.

<report>It's another Asa Project game that didn't localize well due to all the memes and such that were present in the original script that got completely changed as it was localized.

If you liked the other Asa Project games that were done by NekoNyan, you'll probably like this though.

I'd say the localization was worse than Ren'ai Royale, but the story / script itself was better.

<report>This review contain zero spoiler, but I will mention several hints that has nothing to do with spoiling the story, traits, or whatever comes directly from the story.

SO, This is a straightforward comedy-moege, and I really like the way it keep maintain its moege point at whatever problem given as the story progressed. The way problem given and then it will simply ended well without having a plothole like within a single chapter is a gold! Some part turned into a bit intense but it doesn't took too much time until the solution part comes. That one alone is a 10/10 score at least for me. Also the soundtrack / BGM, I find a lot of it catchy.

There you go, this is a moege, and definitely, this VN is a must read if you want to take a break from nakige or anything you recently feel tired of.

<report>A visual novel you read for the hilarious over the top comedy.

All the main characters are in an otaku club with various otaku hobbies like eroge, gacha, idols, yaoi, etc. Every single character (except the MC) acts like a goofball and do nerdy things together. If you enjoy the comedy within the first 15 minutes, you should enjoy the whole visual novel.

The romance itself is passable at best. There are 2 super short side routes, 1 love triangle between the childhood friend and eroge nerd, and 1 love triangle between the blood sister and step sister. There's very little character development in the routes, just lots of laughs, even in the H-scenes.

If you want a hilarious over the top comedy based visual novel with characters having relatable otaku interests, this could be for you.

<report>It's a parody. Parts of it are slapstick. It breaks the 4th wall constantly trying to get cheap laughs. Two of the routes are eeew! (That's like yuk on steroids) The only positive was the situational comedy in the Shiina route made me laugh out loud. If you are looking for a romantic slice of life VN this is not it. If you want a silly slapstick parody (think 3 stooges) then this is the VN for you.

<report>Sankaku Renai is a comedy visual novel that tell a triangle loves of these heroines. The VN is good and got a lot references from anime and other media by far. Even though the amount of people bought this VN is low, don't you look back at it as it's really a good VN that I mostly find it very interesting and enjoyable.

I personally love all the girls and they all don't judge a book by it's cover type. 10/10 I wish for more Asa Project VN in the future.

<report>Sankaku Renai: Love Triangle Trouble is highly recommended. That said, it's aimed at experienced visual novel fans who'll understand the tropes and references. It's got less of focus on story, but more on characters and comedy. All of the characters are likable, all of the routes are interesting and production values are high all around.

<report>This review is specifically for the English translated version of the game.

When I first got this game, I had certain expectations. Based on the name of the game, I expected literally love triangle based conflicts. It obviously has love triangles in the game, but I found that this game is not about drama and more about comedy. There are a few potentials for drama here and there but they never become more than that.

So this game is about silly comedy which I'm all for, but it usually didn't work for me in this game. The issue to me is that the jokes are not easily translated from Japanese to English. There were many instances where what was said vocally in the game did not match what was... Read more »

<report>tl;dr: A VN with really weak stories, but with solid enough comedy to make it decent.

This VN is a bit different from most all that I've played so I'm going to be reviewing it a bit differently. The structure is pretty normal, with there being two branch points in the story with the first leading to a branch with either Nanaru/Suzu or Maho/Shiina and then the second choosing one of them, with the possibility of branching off into side stories with Akane or Cara somewhere in there as well. However, the thing is that it doesn't really feel like routes matter all that much. Each of them do have stories with various character conflicts and growth and such, but it feels like they're both very... Read more »

<report>“The sum of the squares on the imoutos of a love triangle is equal to the square on the osananajimi.” - Pythagoras, ancient Greek thinker.

Sankaku Renai, or Love Triangle Trouble as it is known in the ingles, is love comedy visual novel that plays it by the book. It knows what it is and doesn’t try to overstretch its bounds and because of that manages to hit all the right beats just right.

Our MC, known to everyone around him as Sosuke. He’s a high school student living in a rural town together with his dad, his step-mom, and of course his step-imouto. He is an otaku just like 99% on protaginists in these kinds of visual novels who is also a member in the school’s otaku club, where he... Read more »

<report>I don't believe there's been an English moege localization yet that is quite like this work. It's an almost entirely comedy-focused bakage, with over-the-top comedy, frequent fourth-wall breaking allusions, and numerous otaku media references. This does of course mean that the characters are hard to take especially seriously and their eventual romantic development is rather unexceptional, but Sankaku knows where its artistic goals really lie, and its comedy is absolutely top-notch - some of the absolute best the medium has to offer.

Its comedy is admittedly rather niche and one-note, being catered very specifically towards existing fans of the subculture by making tons of references... Read more »

<report>Love Triangle Trouble is a bit of an oddball. It's a more comedy based, uptempo VN that is serious when it has to be, but softens the blow by keeping it relatively light. The odd thing is the dialogue. The English translation (localization?) has quite a bit of modern Internet humor (memes, etc), but some of the tropes seem like they would be western-written. I just wonder how much of the English dialogue is close to the Japanese, and how much is westernized. I found it mildly annoying initially, but I never reached the point of giving up on the VN as a whole. The dialog seems to improve over time when playing, and the routes I played were good.

In my opinion, there are two girls who I... Read more »
