Following her graduation from middle school, Yuzuhara Konomi enters the same high school as Kouno Takaaki, her childhood friend. As the new school year begins, they meet their childhood friend Kousaka Tamaki, as well as many new accquaintances. <report>To Heart 2 is an amazing romance Visual Novel, that is really soulful. The characters are all likable, and there weren't really any I completely disliked, and of all the characters, Tamaki was definitely my favorite. Also, the art and artstyle is pretty beautiful, I especially liked the gorgeous CGs and character portraits.
In addition to that, I also think that all the routes were very good, with the ones of Tamaki, Yuuki, and Manaka probably being my favorites. Though it was a bit of a shame that Yuuki's Route was so short, I would've loved to see more of her, especially because I already really liked pretty much everything about her and her route. But overall, I very much liked all the routes, and I didn't really dislike any of them.

An early warning, I am by no means a great visual novel reviewer, nor should you 100% trust my word. I have only been reading them for about 2 to 3 years, and the low quantity of good romantic ones makes it hard to play many so I am currently learning Japanese. My scoring is at the bottom.

ToHeart 2 is an amazing visual novel that every romance VN enthusiast should pick up. I dropped this a little over 2 years ago due to problems with my PC, and only just now recently picked it back up and finished it in under a week. While a few characters can be fun at times, like Maryan-senpai, Ruu, those purple haired twins and the cat-dog siblings Tamanee and Yuuji, To heart 2 suffers from seemingly endless routes.

On top of that, the plot usually gets interspersed by pointless "comedy" and there's bits where you're forced to skip through the same events with your group of friends or with the loli osananajimi - it adds nothing but distraction.

Getting into a girl's route becomes a chore where you have to visit, say, the school library for Manaka, like 15 times and even when you're well into boyfriend territory, you still are given the choice to screw it up and go home in the map section - what's the point of... Read more »
