Description

This is the sequel to Moonstone’s action thriller Sakura no Mori † Dreamers, composed of a main route and a Madoka route, both of which take place in the second school term after summer vacation if Shinji does not get in a relationship with any of the other girls. While the two routes are separate from each other, there is a common element which links them together, so the reader is encouraged to play both.

With the defeat of the Joker, all the bodachs disappeared from Sakuranomori. Peace returned, but it was only for a fleeting moment. A new nightmare had begun; It was a crimson world with man-eating monsters where the murderer who was supposed to be dead still wandered. Death in this world resulted into death in reality. The Sakuranomori Dreamers once again threw themselves into battle, to protect the town and those they loved.

On the other hand, the daily life with Madoka unfolds. But is it only a sweet nightmare?

<report>If you liked the prequel, you will likely like this, as it is pretty much more of SnMD 1, down to the awkward segregation of business(plot) and pleasure. With that said, I find this did not bring much more than that, and with its much shorter length, feels more of a fandisk than a sequel, weaker plot and all. The essentially do-nothing eye candy (in the main story) heroines, I guess are par for the course given the format of the prequel.

<report>feel not enough or not satisfied with madoka treatment in SnMD 1?

don't worry, this SnMD 2 will meet your expectation. this sequel will not lead you to "unnatural heroine development" after main of common route and not only that it will go more deep than in SnMD 1 for sure

but beware, SnMD 2 is not so kind for SnMD 1 reader because the nuance, CG and development (for some people) will make most of reader want to run from it to read more or even fail to understand the deepest setting in SnMD

<report>simple review :
redemption for madoka start here, she get her route, and more badass killer, very very good horror too from the vol 1.

this story take place after the common route ended at SNM vol 1, which madoka is leaving shinji. but shinji cannot move on and found new horror awaits them.

overall 10/10

<report>Sakuranomori Dreamers 2 is, again, a ‘welded game’ just like its prequel, S-D1, but this time, it just got worse.

The game is good for giving a happy ending to Madoka, and having Harem ending, gore, horror and insanity.

The biggest flaw is its inconsistency.
Like the prequel the game(main story) is divided up into clearly 2 parts: Madoka’s World(Part.a) and the S-D1’s World(Part.b). The 2 parts of the game are just barely related with each other via the first and the last 1% of playing time, while in the majority of time, nothing is interacting.
What makes it worse than the S-D1 is its interweaving storytelling. Part.a is a happy and relaxing world (except the final part), but Part.b... Read more »
