Description

“Magesmiths” are wizards that specialize in labyrinth construction and restoration. Avaro, one of them, sought to one day run his own workshop. To realize this dream, he accepted a job in Influse Kingdom of investigating some ruins. Unfortunately, he got caught in a cave-in and ended up lost. As he wandered, he came across a girl, sleeping inside a magic stone, Fia.

After waking up, Fia told him that she has no memory of herself; however, she knows that she is unmistakably a Goddess. Continuing, she tells Avaro that she could, if she wanted to, move the entirety of the ruins with her Godly powers, and she points out that she has to, no matter what, make it to the closed-off holy ground of the Kingdom. The "Mist Corridor of the Sacred Sound."

Fia, who has said nothing but what could only be nonsense so far, invites Avaro to join her on her journey, saying that he can use these ruins as his workshop however he likes if he does. Although doubtful, Avaro accepts her conditions and becomes the apostle of the self-proclaimed Goddess, and while using the moving ruins as his atelier, they head north.

Before long, rumors of the ‘Gualacuna Fortress’ are spread across the country, and while fighting anyone who comes after the fortress, thinking that it has valuables or is a threat, Avaro searches for the truth related to the Goddess’ memories.

Along with the Goddess of Relationships, “The Story That Weaves Bonds” marks the beginning..

<report>I personally think that the current rating of this game is fair enough, if you rate purely by the story, then it's at 7-7,5/10. But what's strange is that Kamidori is rated so much higher, while being pretty much at the same level in terms of the plot if not inferior.

When it comes to the gameplay, though, both of the games are AMAZING. If you ever played any Fire Emblem game and liked it, then you'll totally love the Meister series, as it has similar gameplay, but much more in-depth, with way more skills, and with an amazing crafting system to boot. I personally think that both Kamidori and Amaiyu are superior to any of the Fire Emblem games - both in gameplay and in the plot.

I highly recommend it to any TRPG fan.
Story: 7,5/10

<report>It's Kamidori by the same developer, but slightly better. The gameplay and level design were slightly improved and feel smoother. This game added two new systems of note. First feature that I liked is capturing enemies for bonuses. I felt it worked as an additional progression route. Second feature was base defense, which was underwhelming. It barely got into play. The base building overall was improved from Kamidori.

The story and art are average. I recommend the game for the tactical combat and character progression only.

<report>avaro job as "magesmith" is rare term for me in fantasy setting from my list, not only that how he meet fia is dramatic enough to make me read more. their journey to solve fia problem and mystery behind of Gualacuna Fortress is interesting, not only that how they meet other character (include append & ex story) full with comedy, triangle relationship, tear jerking, regret, vacant and excitement until end even villain in here play their role properly and didn't act too childish, moreover the ex story is full with tension that hard to ignore it

for gameplay, it is more easy to play than in kamidori system moreover lili and valefor is mvp in ex dungeon and try ex dungeon too if you want harder dungeon. building fortress is fun too, because you can make it to look beautiful or strong fortress

<report>Picked up Castle Meister not long after playing Kamidori.

The gameplay is fantastic, an improvement. I also really liked that you could start off from hard mode and that it's playable from the start, which made it a lot more enjoyable for me. The hard mode is actually hard, and challenging.

At first I played the regular mode, but after a few chapters it felt too easy and my enjoyment dipped a little. Spending time gearing up, upgrading etc did not give me the sense of accomplishment that I desired when I understood that they did not matter as much because defeating enemies was pretty simple. So I restarted the game, and played it on hard. So this review is from the perspective of playing... Read more »

<report>they outdid themselves this time.

unlike in kamidori, the gameplay in this one one is far more balanced. and unlike in kami no rhapsody, this one had better polishing in terms of story. it's still bad, since the premise of the game, which is amnesia, is probably one of the most insulting plot devices in any medium. don't worry that's not a spoiler since that's literally chapter 1. the barebones is bad, but at least the story progression is good and enjoyable throughout. that's probably my only big complaint about this game.

as for gameplay, I feel like I'm abusing the summon system too much. you can retreat them at any given time (as long as its your turn) and they can regen while off-map... Read more »
