Description

2020. World line variation rate: 1.048596.

While consumer-use robots receiving the benefits of a networked society are becoming more widespread, the robot rebellion incident in February showed the vulnerability of that sort of information society. While it was a global crisis through the network, it was prevented by high school students of Tanegashima island, where the battle took place.

Half a year later. Tanegashima is flooded with people as it prepares for its summer festival. One of the high school students that saved the world from crisis, the protagonist Kaito Yashio, has since graduated and returns to his hometown of Tanegashima after a long time away.

During his return, he meets a middle-aged man named Itaru Hashida, who has a mutual friend and came to Tanegashima to see the sights. However, he cannot help but find his behavior strange. Although this man is actually a super hacker with world-class skills, Kaito has yet to learn this fact. Before long, events that disrupt everyday life start to repeatedly occur.

That was the sign of a conspiracy that is once again trying to throw the world into chaos.

<report>Robotics;Notes DaSH is a huge downgrade from the original Robotics;Notes (and Elite). If you fell in love with the realistic feeling Robotics;Notes cast prior to DaSH, you will likely be disappointed to see many of them act out of character here. Unsurpisingly, DaSH is very unsubtle in the way it calls back to Steins;Gate. Expect hamfisted references to the Chaos; entries as well -- you might not "get" certain mechanics introduced in DaSH without reading Chaos;Head. Despite all of its shortcomings, one character route in this VN stands out as being very solid. In my opinion, this route is the saving grace of the VN. Sadly, you'll have to tread through an otherwise disappointing story to reach it.

<report>Even though this is promoted as a sequel, this feels mostly like an epilogue to the original. Common route and most of the individual routes felt more like Robotics;Notes Love ChuChu in the sense that they gave some more details about the characters, but the plot was overall really silly. Nao and the two canon routes have a higher level of seriousness, but they felt more like epilogues or side stories to the original. I also pretty much confirmed that the only good villain in the SciAdv Series for me is that certain girl from Chaos;Child. Overall, it's a recommend for those that really liked the first one and want to see what happened to all the characters after it, just keep in mind that the humor in it might be a bit overwhelming to some. Decent, almost good VN.

<report>Weirdly enough I kinda expected a non canon "Love Chu Chu" game but got an epiloge to R;N E.

Which does not work against it, it's good. However it is not First Game good. Lot's of filler and just general stupidity around. The final true route gives some of the excitement of the first R;N game and you get to learn about everyones development during the game. So it's not totally pointless, but kinda setting up a Crossover between the 3 SciAdv franchises as C;C did. In the end it's worth it if you played the entire SciAdv series up till then, and somewhat of a weird filler if you only played R;N. Weirdly more story than fanservice (which totally exists), but a game that seems to fill a gap to something that does not exist yet. 7/10 you can play it fine, but it seems a bit lackluster.

<report>An okay but incredibly underwhelming sequel to Robotics;Notes that was brought down by the fact that the common route was incredibly underwhelming, Airi's route did little to really make her feel important and Frau's route was the worst thing I have ever read in a Visual Novel (worst route for the worst character I suppose).

Akiho 11/10 best SciADV girl.

<report>It's an unpopular opinion, but I liked R;N Dash more than the original game. The reason being, Dash actually delivers on the slice-of-life elements. The original R;N didn't have the main cast playing nice with each other until almost the end of the game. Dash gets right to it, and pushes the technological horror stuff aside until the end. It's still got its share of problems: the main character is Daru from Steins;Gate and he's way too thirsty all the time; Frau's arc - in spite of her being my favorite character - was both inane and borderline treats being gay as if it were the punchline of a joke; and most of the story arcs aren't canon, so a lot of good character development winds up not being "real". Still, R;N dash fulfilled my expectations of what the original game would be like.
