<report>Misaki's route in Aokana I felt was the best when it came to having both believable romance as well as solid
plot progression compared to some of the other heroines so with that in mind was really hyped for extra 2
and yeah its a kamige that I would go as far as to say its even better than the original game.

Unlike extra 1 which only seems like it exists for Mashiro fanservice (haven't read it so correct if I'm wrong)
extra 2 feels like a full-on sequel giving not only major development to Misaki but other characters as well
like Minamo and Mayu. With the plot we have Misaki just getting off from winning the fall tournament but
now is kind of at a loss where to go from there... Read more »

<report>Have you ever wished to experience a Suicida from Shindou?

Cause god damn this visual novel blew my expectations out of the blue hell and back.

Heading into Extra 2 I simply could NOT fathom the why numerous people were praising it to the high heavens, and especially so because Misaki is my least favourite character of the 4 main heroines (Asuka best girl). However the pacing of this novel is one of the best in any visual novels I have read, and the short yet high quality style makes me really want to see what the so-called Filmic Novel brand will put out in the future. The short, succinct and EXTREMELY engaging manner of storytelling made me sit my ass down and read it within a single... Read more »

<report>TOBISAWA MISAKI
THAT'S ALL

Anyhow
As a big fan of Misaki, I was going to like this anyway
But since I hadn't played Extra1, I didn't really know what to expect
I thought it would be like an イチャラブ type fandisc and I would've been happy with just that, but oh no it is so much more
It's a true continuation of Aokana's Misaki route, covering all the elements you'd expect from Aokana proper
While it naturally focuses on Misaki and does have イチャラブ in droves, it also spends a decent amount of time focusing on other characters, including Minamo who really shines here
Makes me want to look forward to IF01, and even feel a bit sad that the IF series wouldn't focus on FC, as little Minamo in... Read more »

<report>This is a solid sequel to a decent sport shounen / moege. But, unlike what the ratings can make you believe, it's nothing groundbreaking and the game is very obviously overrated by moege casuals who barely played any games from the top 50 of the site. Which should be more obvious from the actual reviews, most of which are at 8/10, so don't be fooled.

In a way, the game doesn't add too much to an already the best route of the original AoKana, instead reusing similar plot lines, but taking them a tad deeper. Overall, it's a very nice epilogue with some exciting Sky Circus fights, cute romance and inner struggles. There's even some intellectual value to the mindsets introduced in the story... Read more »

<report>One of the few things that intrigued me about Extra2 is how high its rating is. Currently, this game occupies the 21 spot. Above Ever17, Sengoku Rance, two Majikoi games, and even the original Aokana. Remarkable, isn't it? But, does E2 really deserve to be this high?

Yes. A hundred times yes.

Coming into this one, I had several preconceptions:

1) This is a Misaki-disk. I considered her to be the heroine of the original, so I would likely enjoy this one too. Although I have to remark that too much fanservice tires me out;

2) This is a kinetic novel, meaning I won't be making any choices the entire game. That's usually a negative for me;

3) This one is probably a sort-of After Story... Read more »

<report>The game focuses heavily on depicting Misaki's growth, with a very realistic portrayal of the characters' emotions. The story no longer dwells on the protagonist's past, but instead highlights the turning points in their mutual support and development. Without each other, they would never have reached their current positions. I must say that the scene in the church flower bed is incredibly powerful and exquisitely beautiful, comparable to Saber disappearing in the dawn scene. The plot arrangement in this game is also well done, with surprising plot twists and rich inner monologues. Each chapter has memorable moments, complemented by numerous CGs and fitting music. One can clearly feel the... Read more »

<report>(This review considers EXTRA 1 and EXTRA 2 a total package, likely to be deleted if after-stories for the two other heroines are released somehow.)

EXTRA 1 is the nice lovey-dovey experience that you expect from a fandisc with nice production values for some comedic bits. EXTRA 2 is a case where i can understand the ridiculously high ratings because if you got into the original for the FC battles, you're gonna absolutely love the bigger focus on strategies due to Inui making her mark into the sport. The thing is that in my case, i got more interested in the emotional approach the characters were taking into the sport that was shown outside the matches, and while the VN showed a nice take... <report>I think the pros are obvious. Pretty much anything related to flying circus is quite solid, even great. Any development related to Misaki and FC was nice If kind of expected. I would say the better parts of the flying circus stuff was seeing other characters get the limelight that sorely needed some serious moments. And of course, the presentation by Sprite and filmic novel is top notch. I liked a bunch of the remixed tracks of original BGM.

Sadly the one thing that makes me not think extra two is nearly as hype as other people think... Is that Misaki unfortunately is still really annoying with her joking style in basically any slice of life or romance scene. While I enjoyed her flying... Read more »
