Description

A long time ago, a group of special girls known as ‘mahou shoujos’ saved the world after a fierce battle where blood and tears were shed and prayers were made. It was an overly common battle tale. However, no one thanked or praised them for their victory. In fact, no one even knew them at all. Even so, the future of humanity was protected and it came to a happy end.

Now around ten years later, it was spring, the season of meetings and farewells. Those who had once saved the world have forgotten ‘magic’ and lived as normal girls with ordinary encounters and problems. Taiga was approached by the transfer student Haru, who made a request of him:

“Please turn me back into a mahou shoujo.”

<report>While the beginning of an adventure can be one of the most fleeting and memorable moments for someone, I believe that the end is also loaded with perpetual and unique moments, because it is the end of everything, we live to achieve our dreams and we continue living to give them a closure, every man has a last rite and this last path is the accumulation of our whole life, the end of our story

This is a beautiful and tragic fairytale, where brave magical girls gave their all to save mankind from their sins and fears, at the cost of abandoning their dreams, at the cost of abdicating their wishes, at the cost of losing their loved ones, an ultimate journey and ultimate closure will face each one of them

Thank you for being born into this world🌸
Thank you all for your last great journey📘

<report>The greatest praise I can give this work is that it has the worst prose I've read in any medium for ages and is still one of my favourite games of all time.

If you can ignore the startlingly bad pacing and insanely repetitive prose, what you have here is a package approaching kamige tier. There's a beautiful story with a compelling message, told through a cast of characters I hold dear even now. Graphics, system and voice acting are all state-of-the-art, and the BGM is out of this world. Also, listen to OP1 and 2. OP2 is still often stuck in my head more than a year after completion.

But yeah, the prose. It's pretty damn awful. It's why this isn't a 10/10 for me, really. If you can stomach this downside though, FAVORITE has on offer here a fairytale you won't forget anytime soon.

<report>Sakura, Moyu is the best fairy tale of all, as a fan of literature fantastic, heroic and adventurous, love all its inspirations.

One of the best mahou shoujo stories that exist, if not also possibly the best, a work that manages to deconstruct a genre that seemed impossible to go beyond narratively since Princess Tutu and Madoka, but SakuMoyu was able to make such a miracle.

A risky visual novel with a high and beautiful technical values (graphics and sound), if you already know the usual complaints as the "prose" and its "pacing" do not fear, the journey itself becomes so gigantic emotions and feelings, that does not tarnish an epic and deep story.

One of the great peack ficton of the fantastic and dramatic genre, a huge Kamige with a big heart in recent times.

<report>I have only finished one route(chiwa) and oh my god this is really good. It’s so good that idc how the other routes play out, I’m giving an immediate 10, the only other 10 I gave is Subahibi. I see a lot of complains about the prose, but tbh I’m not all that bothered, it’s in the end, just a writing style, and art style even, maybe. Sure, it’s not amateur/translation friendly, but I think it helps tremendously build the world and atmosphere. Not once did I find it a bother. But, can we talk about the spelling errors? I think I see one every 15 lines or so.
Lastly, a little about the world. It’s a very mechanics based world with well established rules, and characters that only function within those rules, and simple as that might seem, hardly anyone follows the nowadays.

<report>I'm a Chinese high-school student.I am not good at English so I may make several grammar and spelling mistakes.
Firstly,I do not finish the full game.I have just finished Chiwa's story. However,I'm thoroughly touched by the story. Before installing the game,I was deeply attracted by Kuro. The story unfolds a world of surprise and delight for me.
However, one of my friends who has finished the full game told me that he didn't like the game because of the boring story style. But I didn't agree with him.If you are curious about the game,I recommend that you can try it yourself instead of learning about the game through other's reviews.

<report>A great lineup of self-sacrificial girls waiting to embrace you and ask you not to die, to cherish the life, and remember your encounter with them. There is only one kind of story and the VN sells it extremely hard. Also, Kanako-san deserves a raise.

<report>I agree that there are pacing problems and some parts in each route get dragged out for too long, and sometimes I feel like i'm getting preached to. If the vn was shorterned and if things weren't too repetitive, I would give it an easy 9/10.

I would not recommend anyone reading this if you are short on time.

<report>It's definately a wonderful game. Kuro's love and her persistence made my tear fall many times. The best part of the whole must be the end of Kuro's route, when Kuro and the hero got in the train again. This CG is as the same as at the beginning of the story, which made me remind of the first feeling of the game----SHOCKING.
However, this game still has many troubles. First, Urushibara Yukito is too FKING talky, even worse than his game: Irotoridori no Sekai. I almost dropped the game...... Second, the game is not suitable for H scence at all! It's too destructive!
So, 9 point, but the game itself deserves a 10 point.

<report>Undoubtedly Favorite's masterpiece which spent 6 years in development and further suffered a series of 4 months delay before its reach perfection of maximum suffering. While appearing to be another typical romance-drama kind of story at first glance, and although it definitely ends on a happy note, it is, in fact, quite fucked up than what the cover initially suggested. Sakura Moyu portrays the unexpectedly dark fantasy, engaging in human mind creatively yet sometimes disturbingly, with its main theme revolves around self-sacrifice of desperate, despaired adolescents, who wish to pay their dearest thing, in exchange for being free from living with the regrets.

To begin with, I usually... Read more »

<report>Wow, what a ride it was! It took me a long time to complete the story, longer than I usually take to read a whole VN. I'll explain why later. So, what you can expect from "Sakura, Moyu"?

If you want to read an action-packed story that will captivate you from start to finish, then...look somewhere else. If you want to read a divine-level nakige that would make you cry - it is a perfect choice!

Engagement level: 5/10

It is very common for a nakige to drag for too long and have a lot of emotionally draining parts that are hard to read, but it is even more obvious in Moyu. Unlike most other games of the genre, the common route here is really short, most of the text is heroine routes. But... Read more »

<report>[This review may contain some mild conceptual/structural spoilers to the work. Any express spoilers are marked.]

Sakuramoyu presents an intricate, grand story told frequently through verbose, repetitive prose. The result is something awe-inspiring, but the experience may not be the most enjoyable. At its core, Sakuramoyu is a nakige which moonlights as a complex, mechanics-driven work (comparable to Island, where its world is as mysterious as it is deep). Character routes (all with maybe the exception of one) have a compelling dramatic, satisfying resolution and develop the work’s core philosophies. Sakuramoyu is not without its flaws, as it suffers from atrocious pacing and repetitive... Read more »

<report>“Our magic is our incomparable imagination”

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
After receiving many recommendations and compliments I decided to buy my ticket at the midnight station and board the train. It is definitely a title that lives up to the title of “Nakige”, some small flaws prevent me from classifying it as “perfect”, in spite of that, it is a required reading.

NOTICE TO NEW READERS
This work may induce uncontrollable urges to furiously press "Ctrl", meaning it is a work for patient readers.
Sometimes the writing is irregular, slow and irritating; At these moments, simply advance the dialogue a little faster than your usual reading speed, this way you can capture the idea of the scene without... Read more »

<report>Sakura Moyu is not a bad game; it is excellent in many individual aspects. However, it is hard to say that this game is overall excellent. It welds exclusive or disharmonic contents into an ornate scribble.

The game inserts a lot of flashbacks into each route. Flashbacks are a good method; however the game smashes everything. The time order and logic relation between flashbacks and among flashbacks and other parts are messy. It is hard to understand the plot because of this.

The game enforced a playing order. It welds 2 mediocre routes in the front of its core. Although the 2 routes are complements of the true end route, they are kicking out players. There are scenes that seem like... Read more »
