Description

There is an urban legend...

Write down your troubles on a note and pray. A god shall hear your story as relayed.

People who believe in the legend live all over this world, in every shape and form. They write and pray to the gods, seeking help for their troubles.

A quiet nerd stuck in a hopeless crush.
An impoverished artist contemplating suicide.
A rookie police officer hoping for his first big case.
A young woman desperately chasing her dream.
Even a stray cat who would be satisfied with just some food to eat.

What would the world be like if such a god exists with the power to alter the fate of those that believe in this urban legend? What if, you are that god?

<report>I "will" not extend myself, the history of the characters are good, some are more interesting than others but that is normal, I would say that it has a good soundtrack and has entertaining moments. But when you are finishing the game the "main" story begins to fall, mostly because of a plot twist that does not make sense or has development, if you ignore the story of the protagonist and only focus on the rest of the characters, it's a good game.

<report>This game is a compilation of ministories that can affect, directly or indirectly, the development of every character. I loved the concept, but you are not given as much freedom as it may appear at first glance. For example, you can't continue a certain character story if you don't advance in other, and it can be frustrating sometimes because there's always characters that you like and you don't.

Talking about characters, I really enjoyed the diversity found on this game. The problems for each characetr can go from very little things to huge and dark situations. It was a nice surprise, since I didn't expect the story to get so serious.

Music, nothing memorable. Sound effects do their job. I'm not giving it a higher vote because it's more "Novel" than "Visual" but still interesting.

<report>Dang, the game design was pretty bad.

It's way more a text adventure than a visual novel. If the goddess and her dog have tachie and a BCG, the meat of this game is to read sequences of text, almost nude, if a shadow tachie wasn't keeping us company. Occasionally, a CG appears for a couple of second and we are back to the very dry presentation.
The irony being that I created the characters in my head based on what I read, as anyone would do, and was always shocked to see how they looked like in the CG. I thought of this police officer as being around thirty, forty, classic hardboiled etched with lines by life type of face (I was watching Homicide at the time), and all I met were bishounen... <report>I gave this game a try without knowing anything about it and I was blown away. I already knew I loved the multiple mini-stories format (big fan of Analogue and Hate Plus), and Will just reaffirmed this. The stories run in different genres, so weaving between them meant I never got too bored of any one story, while also leaving me in a permanent state of suspense. It was fun to search out the ways the stories sometimes overlapped. All the main characters served as good narrators, and by the end, I thought every story reached a good conclusion, although I certainly enjoyed some more than others.

The 'meta-story' of the character you actually play as was pretty good, too. At first it felt... Read more »
