Description

5:30 AM - U__ Harbor, K__ Prefecture.
A VIP arriving from abroad mysteriously disappears in transit. The SORD team at Mihama Academy (Rena, Tohka, Chris, and Murasaki) are presented with a new mission: finding and recovering him.
Whenever they appear to be closing in on this missing "package", though, it somehow slips through their fingers.

Accompanying them on their mission are two fellow SORD members from the Kyousen Sakuragaoka campus - twin sisters, who both help and hinder the crew.
There have also been rumors floating around of a daredevil biker named "Soul Speed", who tears up the streets at night. What role might she play in this escapade?

Before long, the team's thrilling chase descends into a deathmatch, pushing the combatants to their limits and beyond. Rena and Haruto, meanwhile, are taken on a journey deep into the past, to their first ever encounter.

"What are you good at?"
"I'm just a crybaby and a wimp... All I can do is kill..."

"Do you plan on buying me...?"
"If the price is right."

Did Haruto really show Rena the path to salvation? Or is she on the road to hell...?

<report>I firmly believe that people should at least check out the second volume of Phantom Trigger before deciding whether or not to pick up the Grisaia Phantom Trigger series.

Volume 2 takes a more in-depth into Rena: one half gluttonous gourmet and the other, a monstrous force of nature.

Being much more engaging than the installment prior, this volume dives deeper into the personal stories of both Rena and Maki, and the changes they’ve gone through, and how they choose to live their lives from now on. Here, Phantom Trigger shows that the life values one can obtain through major influences can form a sense of inner strength and purpose, to become reasons for an individual to truly live for.

<report>I really enjoyed this chapter of Phantom Trigger the characters are fleshed out more especially Rena and we are introduced to new characters too one in particular seems like they will be important moving forwards. Rena is a very intriguing character and using her as the back drop you get some pretty enthralling action scenes. Im loving this series and the world of Grisaia impresses me so damn much. Phantom Trigger gets a bad rep for not being like Fruit, Labrynth or Eden of Grisaia but I feel it as its own identity and is a very good experience. I do love anything to do with secret organisations, spys, hitmen etc so that might have a lot to do with it but the whole Villian of the week type... Read more »
