Description

Tatsumi and his childhood friends Miki and Chihiro talked every day about what they would do during the upcoming summer vacation. By chance, they befriended the overly-honest ojou-sama Yui, who transferred to their school since she admired the co-education system, as well as kouhai Kotone, who had failed to make lasting friendships after trying too hard to fit in. This new group of five friends (?) began to plan for a memorable bittersweet summer vacation that happens only once in a lifetime.

<report>I love this one. Relatively short but I could get myself inside the story and feel their high school summertime. Three lovable heroines, I actually think the scenario is close to the level of Azarashi Soft Amakano series. Would be much better if this VN has fan disk or after story, but stop at the point where summer vacation ends is also a good idea, leaving us to imagine how their relationships will go forward.
Nice music and great artwork. Sadly sex scenes are a little bit short but I guess that’s not the main point of this VN so fine.
The background of Enoshima is very nice as well. I visited there just months ago for BTR pilgrimage and it left me a deep impression, helping me to understand the story.
(I highly appreciate the protagonist don’t * inside * in those scenes as students)

<report>Now this was one quite a pleasant surprise. I kinda went into Aonatsu Line simply wanting something of a palate cleanser, a vanilla type of experience with some occasional fluff and comedy, nothing much more than that. But what I got instead was a heartfelt and well constructed romantic narrative that (partially) caught me off guard.

The main theme of the game is about enjoying youth before growing up (terribly original, I know lol), and for the most part it's dealt just as unimaginatively as the nature of the theme itself. That's not to say it wasn't enjoyable, I think the group had a great dynamic between them and it's hard to feel any cynicism towards the game thanks to its chill... Read more »

<report>This is not a review of a full game yet but an impression after reading Miki's route. I will update the review with other routes when I read them later. This review contains spoilers and NSFW details.

Miki's route has just come to a close and I'm still basking in the afterglow of the feel trip this route put me through. I've been reading visual novels for more than 10 years and most of the time a romcom does not do much to me because while reading a romance story, I can feel that I've read this tale somewhere else. Thus, I've been always chasing that "feeling" when I experienced something impactful for the first time. A story that can make me forget that forever chase is really hard... Read more »

<report>The idea of seasons, the setting, the change in seasons is worth a mention before I talk about the characters and routes. They are meant to be meaningful to the experience and they are to an extent.

Chihiro is the male friend that gets the spotlight in ways the other girls don't. Best I've seen in these types of games. Chihiro is notable in that he is part of the friend group and not just protag's friend. He'a witty, sarcastic, a good person, and likeable. A suprisingly welcomed addition in contrast from my preconceptions at the beginning of the game and deserving of the main character role. With Chihiro in the mix there's a bit of awkwardness to the dynamic of the group but it is handled... Read more »
