<report>Tthis vn is far more entertaining than the first one (obviously you should read that one before this). The humor and my enjoyment is much improved and is like a breath of fresh air. Ayaka's route is the highlight of this vn. Even if you disliked her from the previous game, its still worth reading her route i think. This vn definitely gives me a much improved opinion of kinkoi as a whole.

<report>Shorter Prologue, check
Continuous moans in H scene is an improvement
Alternative Ria's route with child ending, check, save the best for last
Music is so-so for most time like original, but good in some such as Mina's theme and some in Ria's main route (already love those from original too)
3-some, check, rare to see a man who can take the virginity of 3 girls in a single route (not satisfied as original but worth mentioning here)
Summary: A bit improvement from the original, so I add a bit more 0.5 in score

<report>If you liked Kin'iro Loveriche, you'll probably like this, but it's also not groundbreaking in any way, and is a bit of a step down in quality overall.

I'd say it's a good fandisc including a rehashed route from the original (Ria's route) that had left plenty of people with a bad taste in their mouth since it was a nakige ending effectively .

The two "fresh" routes are neat, Ayaka being pretty amusing and eroticute and Mina being a better feel-good cute positive romance than most of the original Kin'iro. Both routes are shorter and less well-written than the routes in the original Kin'iro.

The after stories are all nice and filler-ey as you'd expect fandisc after stories to be. The writing for these is a clear step down from the main scenarios in the first VN.

<report>The FD was more enjoyable for me, It made me laugh more and cut down on a lot of boring aspects from the original game (less repitition, better pacing). Instead focusing on the strengths of the established chemistry between all the cast members, a good decision.

Ayaka's route was decently long, pretty funny and felt better than most of the original games routes. The common route was great. Ria content was also welcome just for her character.

The rest of the games content does not have a whole lot to offer other than fanservice(as expected) nothing wrong with that but it's mostly fluff. The 4th wall breaks were a bit annoying.

The overall entertainment was pretty good. Worth a read if you liked the original game and especially Ayaka. It's a chill read.

<report>Routes finished: Ayaka, appends for Ayaka, Heroina, Reina

TL;DR: More Kinkoi, which is good. Lacks substance. 6/10

+ Humor is stronger, though at the cost of a lot of 4th wall-breaking
+ Common route is a good "what if" continuation of the story
+ Lots of new CGs and sprites
+ Fleshes out some of the supporting characters
+ No bugs like in the predecessor

- Overly focused on sex, Ayaka's route goes hard in that direction
- Ayaka's route ending feels abrupt despite the story being of a good length
- Creates drama and then hand-waves it (ie. Ayaka's grandfather, Ayaka's past with the MC)
- Appends are very superficial

<report>If you're reading this wondering if it's worth it to pick this up after reading Kin'iro Loveriche, the answer wholly depends on whether you enjoyed the original or not.

Golden Time does nothing new when put side by side with its predecessor. It's up for debate whether or not it's a good thing that the fandisc decided to stay with the tried and true style of story-telling that made the original Kinkoi a success (at least from what I've read in western social media from the western population). Consequently, I believe that if you liked the original, there is almost no chance this fandisc will disappoint you; Golden Time adds two routes a lot of readers wanted and as well small "append" after... <report>tl;dr: A fandisc that’s mostly just extra fluff, even when it pretends otherwise, though with a really awesome and very different heroine route.

This is a fandisc that has a number of distinct components. Firstly, it has append routes for the five routes in the original. These take place after what is essentially the end of the routes that they respectively correspond to, though they take place before any of the time skip post credit mini-epilogues for the routes that had them. They’re pretty short, a couple hours or so, and don’t really have much substance to them. They’re basically just a continuation of the fluff in the original routes, so if you liked that in the originals and want... Read more »

<report>Just like its original game, Kiniro Loveriche Golden Time is hard to summarize in a word. Compared to the original game, this Fandisk enhances its advantages but undermines its drawing-back parts furthermore. Its daily plot is funnier than the original game; its settings, on the other hand, have a poorer performance than that of its original game have. It is slightly recommended to play this Fandisk if you have played Kiniro Loveriche; it is absolutely worthless to play Kiniro Loveriche to play this Fandisk, however.

This Fandisk is composed of a prologue which is the continuation of the common route of the original game, three major routes, and seven appends for the seven heroines. Among... Read more »

<report>TL;DR: read only if you really want Ayaka/Mina/extra Ria route, otherwise skip it

I read Kinkoi about a year ago, and still vividly remember some of the scenes and some of the comedic moments. I was a Reina-main (who isn't the spotlight of the plot) so I'm not really expecting anything else from this FD. Saw this on sales, decided to try it out, and it didn't really go beyond my expectations nor make me disappointed.

The game gives you 7 append scenarios, basically a very short after-story or extra scenes to laugh at for each of the heroines (with an extra H-scene each as well, but well I think the H-scenes in the FD are way worse than that in the original). Some of them are locked until... Read more »

<report>The engine switch from siglus to kirikiri is sadly for the worse, especially with regards to audio quality. Having played this right after the main game, listening to the compressed voices was rather unpleasant but could get used to it after a while.
Though that can't be helped since sagapla leaving VA meant they lost the rights to use that engine, but still. Also some of the newly drawn sprites/poses feel somehow different too, but would not be able to really pinpoint the exact differences if you asked me to. Some animations are also choppier.

As for the story, it definitely doubles down on not taking itself too seriously, which I honestly enjoyed, and is exactly what I would expect from... Read more »

<report>Well might as well write a review... It's a bit weird and at the end it's the first fandisk that makes me want to rate the original game down. But let's get methodical!

Technical: There are no issues but it's fairly obvious that there was a sudden Engine Change for... some reason. It's actually quite jarring. Like the moment I booted it up I had to look up if they are by the same dev and use the same engine. So it's not better or worse than the original but... different. And it's jarring if you go from one to another right after.

Art/Sound: No change, same visuals and same soundtrack. Everything perfectly okay.

Story: I guess that is where I realized how little substance the original had... Read more »

<report>note: I gave original game 9/10 and I read this fd some time ago, with time only reaffirming my feelings towards both og and fd
note 2: somewhat minor spoiler for fd and fd structure put under spoiler tag, so don't open if you want to go into fd completely blind and clueless

FD started out on a good note, introducing it's own full-fledged common route, which is essentially gives you more kinkoi with everything good you love about kinkoi.

Ayaka route is solid, exactly what you expect from her route after going through Reina route in the original game. It's easy to love it, unless you're hardcore moebuta who is against 3p (lmao) and can't tolerate """mental ntr""" (lmfao) with Ayaka... Read more »

<report>Not going to lie. I actually liked it more than the original Kinkoi by quite a bit.

I thought it was kind of dumb the new common route was kind of long and was required to unlock the after stories. Thankfully it was decently fun and set the tone for the whole fan disk being much more focused on wholesome interactions and degenerate comedy with less melodrama. It also casually mentioned twist that I think didn't even need to be twist to begin with. So overall I would say I would enjoyed it

The after stories to the original routes while short (30ish minutes), we're all pretty enjoyable to me, roughly around the same quality when the routes are at their best in the original. One exception is... Read more »
