Description

Kaito wakes to find himself in a strange room with no memories of who he is or how he got there. The only other people around are a quiet white-haired girl and their overseer, Izumo. As three separate stories unfold around him, Kaito begins to wake up to the truth of this world, and his own role in it. And it's all connected to the strange, silent girl named Yonagi...

CASE-1 Hatano Rin
Arishima Kaoru is a 45-year old part-time teacher, stuck in an unhappy marriage and living a life of tedium after having long given up on his dreams of becoming a novelist.

One day, he finds out that a student of his, Hatano Rin, is none other than the daughter of the writer he once admired above all others.

As the relationship between the two deepens, Arishima grapples with immoral impulses toward this younger girl. But even as his life spirals and his marriage crumbles further, he picks up his pen and starts to write again.

CASE-2 Olivia Berry
Our stage is set in the heyday of Elizabethan theater, a time where women were prohibited from acting on stage.

A young William Shakespeare runs a failing pub together with his blind father. Blessed with a perfect memory, he uses the tales his patrons tell as inspiration for the plays he writes to earn extra income.

When his fate ends up in the hands of one Olivia Berry, a woman with a fiery personality and a fierce sense of purpose, Will finds himself in the midst of a real-life drama of his own.

CASE-3 Momonouchi Sumomo
Amei Kanna is a college dropout who spends his time holed up in his dad's garage trying to fix his late mother's old, beat up camper van.

But when a young teacher-in-training shows up out of the blue, she provides the spark to get him out of his mancave and into the world again.

Together with the self-styled scrap hunter Azuki, they set out on an adventure to find the special place Kanna's mother left behind in a drawing.

As Halley's comet streaks across the sky, the three share an unforgettable summer of sweet beginnings and bitter ends.

---

After experiencing these stories and bidding farewell to them, the threads converge in the truth of one girl.

<report>I read the 18+ version first, then the Steam one (link to this same review in Steam). If we completely set aside the translation, the game overall got noticeably better in the latter. It somewhat breaks a fairly important story moment in case 1 by changing how a former H-scene plays out (even if the act still happens), and it also breaks the logic of one line in a comical conversation due to the removal of a preceding explicit joke. Outside of that, it makes sex-related words throughout the game more tame, but all the meaning outside of jokes is still there. One sex scene got removed entirely, which made that story noticeably less spicy as the protag is underage, even if there was no... Read more »

<report>Hakuchuumu no Aojashin is one of those games that seems to get universal praise around here, and I'm going to be a little more scathing. I can see why so many people love the game - when it's good, it's really good, it's poignant without being melodramatic, it's touching and personal and seems to speak from the author's own experience. Sometimes, the game seems sharply genre aware and uses that to its advantage - In one section, the repetitive school routine endemic to most galge is used not as setup for comedic hijinks, but as a backdrop for the protagonist's depressive spiral, which struck me as quite clever. But at other times, Aojashin represents the worst excesses of VN stereotypes... Read more »

<report>Come gather round and listen, let me give you a short introduction, about a story of the girl who's called the world, and her grand love story which will change her people's life forever.

As you might already noticed, before you get to listen to the origin of the world,
there are 3 dreams dwell inside her which require you to dive into first, to get a gleaming sight of her deepest desires.
A melancholic, immoral dream between a miserable, middle-aged man and a desolate, high-school girl.
A romantic, dramatic dream between a genius playwright and an ambitious actress.
A lighthearted, coming-of-age dream between a young, amateur photographer and a peachy filly.
Strangely enough, those 3... Read more »

<report>Note: Played with the restoration mod. This is my first Laplacian visual novel.

Art: 9/10. Really enjoyed the style and design, however the style felt a little inconsistent at times and one of the h-scenes looks like the dick was put on the character as an afterthought. I think this is more of an engine issue, but the visuals aren't very smooth and some things load in way later than they should be, like they're waiting for a screen transition to finish before popping into screen and it just looks kind of cheap.

Sound: 8/10. The soundtrack is huge and helps bring emotion to the story, but I'll be honest, I can only remember like 15 songs from it. The songs are basically just the opening... Read more »

<report>Best Scenario of 2020 Period...

A Day Dream's Blueprint(白昼夢の青写真) is a very interesting. The main theme about the story is love and it does a damn well job of conveying to the reader.
The story itself is quite unorthodox in the way that the reader has to go through 3 different types of stories in different settings in order to progress to the main story.
The stories are named Case 1, Case 2, Case 3, Case 0.

Case 1,2,3 are all well made, but it is quite unclear what all three stories really represent. All 3 have to do with love, goals, determination, ETC. and before progressing to the main story I thought that the 3 would have a clear theme. Unfortunately, this was not the case and maybe... Read more »

<report>Despite my frustration, dissatisfaction, and feeling dead inside, in the end, I still give it a 9/10.

I started with case 3 - Momonouchi Sumomo. It gave a comfy vibe and I really like the setting of stars/comet gazing and summer memories. After a few interludes, I was frustrated that the case story I'm interested in was stopped by Izumo to forcibly change to other cases.

You may wipe Kaito's memory and he stops caring, but you didn't wipe my memories of the fucking cliffhanger that I had invested my feelings and immersion so much.
It's like someone walked into the room when you are about to cum from watching hentai for the other 2 cases as well. There might be reasons for them to do so... Read more »

<report>Cyanotype Daydream is a fantastic visual novel and a perfect love letter for love stories.

- Introduction -

This is personally my favorite visual novel of all time, and the story is a unique in a way that this one full game actually contains 4 different stories that although don't exactly connect by any traditional means, but once you get to the final chapter or "Cases" as it's called in this visual novel, you'll really start to realize the truth about each of these stories and everything will suddenly click! Also because of these 4 different stories, I'll be reviewing each one of them individually.

- Case 3 (A lesson in Appreciation) -

Case 3 may serve as my least favorite, but damn do... Read more »

<report>this VN's structuring is interesting. the beginning will put you into this dude that has lost his memories. I usually hate amnesia as a plot point but in this case I'm glad it just stayed there and instead throws you in a dream state where you watch said dreams. okay at least I don't have to be invested in the amnesia thing.

later you find out that you'll be seeing 3 different dreams, which is the "cases" for this vn. each with their own story arc, but somehow that ties to the main heroine. for this review I'm gonna focus solely on the 3 arcs

case 1: the reason why this vn needed a restoration in the first place. a 45 year old dude and a high schooler girl, in current year? call in all... Read more »

<report>I've already read a lot of VNs. And lately there are fewer and fewer of it, which are not just good, but amazing. Which I give the highest rating. Which can move you to tears (I consider such VNs to be the best, not comedies VNs. Comedies are good, but nothing more). This VN has such a genre, a high rating and top level graphics, so my expectations were high.

Also, this VN is similar to Fata Morgana (which is still the best VN of all time for me). Three stories with different characters in different time periods. Which are then linked to the main fourth story.

In conclusion this novel didn't reach Morgana's level for me, but it left its mark on me. The first three stories are good, but... Read more »

<report>This is one of the best works of any format that I have read in my life, the game works like this :

(I'll briefly talk about every route, and which theme can be seen in the game, while explaining the basic context of them.)

Case 1-2-3 > Route 0 > Epilogue, Then some Omake stuff side story

We could say that the Case 1-3 are prologue to a bigger plan, the route 0, the 3 case tell different stories, in other temporality that separates them, which gives a wave of freshness, a modern era, the 19th century, or a kind of future a little semi-apocalyptic without internet or other.

You play as kaito, which is basically the main character, he is a big part of some expérience in a facility, that... Read more »
