Description

In the near future, a sudden and unexplained sea rise has left much of human civilization underwater.

Ikaruga Natsuki, a boy who lost his mother and his leg in an accident some years earlier, returns disillusioned from a harsh life in the big city to find his old countryside home half-swallowed by the sea.

Left without a family, all he has to his name is the ship and submarine left to him by his oceanologist grandmother, and her debts.

His only hope to restore the dreams for the future that he has lost is to take up an opportunity presented to him by the suspicious debt collector Catherine. They set sail to search the sunken ruins of his grandmother's laboratory in order to find a treasure rumor says she left there.

But what they find is not riches or jewels; it is a strange girl lying asleep in a coffin at the bottom of the sea.
Atri.

Atri is a robot, but her appearance and her wealth of emotions would fool anyone into think she's a living, breathing human being. In gratitude for being salvaged, she makes a declaration to Natsuki.

"I want to fulfill my master's final order. Until I do, I'll be your leg!"

In a little town slowly being enveloped by the ocean, an unforgettable summer is about to begin for this boy and this mysterious robot girl...

<report>Honestly just a fucking incredible visual novel and may end up being my VNOTY unless someone else comes along and blows me away soon. The pacing here is perfect. There isn't a single wasted scene, or character interaction. All the characters are magnificent and Ryuuji might be one of my favorite bro characters at this moment. The story really does a great job of taking a look at the future and where things are headed but at the same thing does a fantastic job of keeping things optimistic and pushing life forward. I really can't even say I have many grievances here. I thought I had some with the toaster, but even those got cleared up at the end. Its just a really well written and well thought out novel. Don't let the all-ages nonsense stop you from reading this. Its just goddamn great.

<report>⭐ ATRI presents a wondrous world; simplistic in nature but full of passion and creativity. ATRI wonderfully tells an all-embracing, multifaceted story: showing a tale of inspirational growth, a passionate search for happiness, and a reflective view on the passage of time itself.

Fully backed by such polished, high-quality music and artwork, it's a beautiful production that perfectly compliments and matches Konno Asta's (KonoSora, MiaZora) ambitions.

There's just so much to unpack from the many fundamental elements within ATRI, that the visual novel's fullest potential is only held back by how short the story is. But maybe that's the beauty of it, for such a wonderfully impactful experience, we should enjoy every moment of it.

<report>ATRI tells a simple story of a robot and a human, and does it really well.
Sure, the story can be longer, but it doesn't need to.
It's kind a short story, where an intriguing world aren't necessarily fully explored, but is enough to serve as an interesting backdrop for the main storyline to happen.
This is not a perfect VN though. My main problems are:
1. The true end is more like an half-assed epilogue.
2. The bad end makes very little sense and seems to only be there because there has to be one.
3. Some scenes can feel redundant, even for this already short VN.
However, none of these are huge problems, and I throughout enjoyed my time with ATRI.

<report>I went in with high expectations and I was surprised by the lack of overall polish, it felt like I was reading something that was not quite finished.

I liked the two main characters, and the art and music was pleasing enough.
The concept is really interesting, and the writing is good. But the plot never took advantage of that and was rather predictable. It felt like a lot more could have been done with the story and exploring the setting.

So while it was enjoyable enough, it did not live up to my expectations and never really left a lasting impression on me. Thankfully Atri herself made it a worthwile read, great character.

<report>Honestly just an okay visual novel. Atri is a short visual novel that is praised a lot so I decided to check it out. In those few hours, there were some good and fun parts and some really boring parts as well. You might think for yourself that it's normal with every story and yes, I agree on that but, the thing with Atri is that it had no "peak" in it as well, it was either decent or boring. And because Atri is such a short VN, I wanted a fun read throughout most of it, which didn't really happen, some parts were read just for them to end. Furthermore because it was so short, I couldn't "connect" to any of the characters. No characters left impact on me, not any emotional experience as well, nothing extraordinary. Just a cool novel but easily forgotten and irrelevant to me as well.

<report>Atri-My Dear Moments is absolutely an masterpiece! I didn't think I would enjoy this game as much as I thought I would. The interactions between the characters are very fun and natural. I loved all the characters and the protagonist this time has an actual personality! I loved the emphasis on friendship. I absolutely loved Atri who was so freaking cute! The art style of this game is simply gorgeous! I was in awe during some scenes! The plot hooks you in and keeps you engaged till the very end. The OST is simply beautiful and I'm sure to keep listening to it on youtube. To conclude, I think this visual novel is a 10/10 and I highly highly recommend everyone to play this gem of a game!

<report>The characters are great, the writing is good and the music and visuals are beautiful.

HOWEVER, I was in the end somewhat disappointed. I was ooking forward to a break from the usual high school setting, and the premise sounded really interesting.

Imagine my surprise when much of the game does in fact take place in a school. On top of that, the interesting setting of a world with rising ocean levels is not explored nearly as much as one would hope. I was always hungry for more world-building, and it just isn't there.

So, the game is good for sure and you're definitely going to cry. But you're also going to be throwing your hands up in frustration that the game leans into so many well-trodden visual novel tropes and lacks world-building that makes things really feel fleshed out.

<report>Atri, one of the games that changes lifes, honestly i felt a little bored in the first hours but when the game really started i realized that it wasn't anything, several scenes marked me but unfortunately i can't detail it so as not to spoilers, i really submerged in that rich and fantastic universe, all those beautiful characters and stories, i really loved this game, the only thing I can complain is that the game seems to be poorly polished in some parts but it's really small details, if you get the chance, play this game, it's great!

<report>It's a good game for me. The game will feature cute and charming characters all the time for players to enjoy. This is my favorite part and of course the CG of this game is pretty good for the price you pay to buy this game. For anyone looking for a visual novel with cute characters throughout the story. This game is one of those choices that you should definitely take the time to play it. I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

<report>(I would've given it a 5 out of ten. But I can't really be accurate because I try to get as emotional as I can with stories like these.)

You definitely see some potential with how the story could go from beginning few hours into the vn, but then it decides we've got to cram as much content as we possibly can and ignore the specifics of it, it got like that much more towards the end. And it just tries to sound wise, with a few quotes or trying to show this is why the story is the way it is, or the mc stating his way of life, like I say nothing special.

But if you're like me and think crying can feel good (even if you might have to force it), might as well try it.
Music, awesome.

It's Ost's I'll keep with me for a long time, the music made me admire the sea just as they.

<report>time to give this one a low score review.

don't get me wrong the writing for this game is awesome and it does a good job of sucking you into its worldbuilding. which is a shame because such a beautiful writing is ruined with just that: beauty. behind that skin-deep beauty is a shallow plot. that is to say: repetitive boring SoL scenes that doesn't move the plot at all until it decides to actually move the plot forward. but my biggest offender is that one scene where it introduces an antagonist for the sole purpose of bullying Atri and in effect giving her pity points. like, what?

a good stopping point would be on the part where the whole team has finally made a working light bulb. after that you could just uninstall the game.

<report>Part 1: Do You Remember Wonder?

I don't know what black magic market research Aniplex must have done, but I really don't think they could have released a pair of debut games that is more within my strike-zone if they tried... ATRI just combines so many things that I absolutely adore:

The backdrop of the "harmonious apocalypse" as in Eden* or Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou or Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryouko - this understanding of apocalypse fiction that is so fragile and evocative and uniquely Japanese.

The doomed, fleeting romance, and grandiose, "saving the world" settei of classic "sekaikei" stories, reimagined for a new, modern era, hopefully the vanguard of a renaissance of this genre alongside... Read more »

<report>“Time is a cruel thief to rob us of our former selves. We lose as much to life as we do to death.”

This quote defines the entirety of the story perfectly. As time perpetually moves, people, surroundings, and everything else change. Time waits for no one. Tomorrow comes as surely as today came after yesterday, and so will the next day. Still, one thing will stand proud in from of time and laugh in its face: memories. Memories of good and bad days, of important and trivial matters, of laughter and sadness. Memories define who we are as people and keep us going forward, no matter what the situation may be.

ATRI can only be described by a single word: beautiful. Everything about it is so... Read more »

<report>A really great emotional roller coaster VN. I really love the story and character overall. The VN start with light heart and funny slice of life but get serious in the middle through the end. The drama is done well and successfully made me shed tears for a few scenes.

The best part of this VN is the titular heroine Atri, a cheerful and airhead humanoid robot that accompany the protagonist. Even though she brag a lot about being high performance household robot, she is useless with almost all of the household chore, at least at the start. She is really cute and funny and make me smile every time she appear, which is 90% of the VN. The protagonist, Natsuki is also good character. He is... Read more »

<report>My playtime lasted about 20 hours overall, listening to most voices and playing on auto mode. If not for the pretty visuals, fully voiced lines, and nice music, I would have dropped this after a few hours and never regretted my choice.

The writing is abysmally unambitious and doesn't accomplish anything. Every action the characters take seems to only exist to progress the plot, which advances at a snail's pace despite being no more impressive than a skeleton of a plot a 14-year-old could have written.
And honestly that would be fine if the game explored interesting idea while doing stuff unrelated to the plot, but...it just doesn't do anything. It's impressive how it can have a genuinely... Read more »

<report>A short, sweet and well-written visual novel, recommended to anyone looking for a true love story with a few opportunities to reach out for a box of tissues to dry out one's eyes.

Visual art is crisp, consistent, vibrant and detailed but CGs are few and far between - the game could use more of them to bring out some key moments and give the story even more character

Music in the VN is fine, but not really memorable. BGMs are generic, similar with insert songs but audio doesn't get in the way of enjoying the full package. It's just there filling the gap.
That being said, VAs did a great job voicing characters giving them a lot of charm and amplifying their relationships.

The biggest... Read more »

<report>ATRI -My Dear Moments- was my first visual novel, and it couldn't have been a better introduction as it perfectly suits my tastes. It’s part post-apocalyptic story about coping with and finding hope in a world that is slowly sinking underwater and life becoming more primitive as a lot of land gets lost to the sea and technology declines. At the same time it's a coming of age romance about a depressed guy who has lost a lot of what is dear to him (including his leg) and is trying to recover as he goes out to find his place in this dying world in spite of his handicaps, and a mysterious robot girl who supports him as she attempts to figure out her own purpose. It deals with robot-human... Read more »
