Description

"Jindou" it's a near-future sport where you fight with real swords that's really hot in Japan in the 2040s. Two girls enrolled into Murakumo Academy where said Jindou is taught. One of them is Kazamine Setsugekka, a rough and emotionally-driven girl who bolsters her blade with the unparalleled strength within her. The other is Suzakuin Momiji, a cool headed and incredibly precise girl with a prodigious sense for swordplay and a frightening sharp mind. These two, whose circumstances and personalities are completely different, both aim for the the title conferred upon the strongest in the academy, the "Toujinegi".

The protagonist, Muragaki Iori, is invited to the academy as a temporary teacher and is ordered to be the sub homeroom tutor of the special top class "Takamura", which Setsugekka and Momiji are a part of. However, the students in this Takamura class... turned out to all be incredibly troublesome kids! There's Kuki Asahi, a girl who has a serious and calm personality, but goes on fanatical rampages when it comes to Iori; and Tobe Ririmu, an incredibly selfish gyaru who believes her "self" only belongs to herself.

Just will Iori be able to successfully guide these incredibly "unique" students? Just who will receive the title of the strongest in the academy, the "Toujinegi"? And in whom will the light of love for Iori be lit?

<report>Friendship and swords. The devs said "you don't need to play the prequels" but imo at least play Mekuiro/Kizuna kirameku Koi Iroha first, as most of the school setting, including what the sword battle is, is explained a lot on mekuiro, while in this game it only mentioned on the surface level. Battle can be quite confusing and hard to follow, plus the flash effects aren't that good and sometimes misleading. Thankfully the game doesn't only focus on that. Protagonist is a blend of chad and soy boy energy. Heroines are fantastic, and chara interaction between characters is probably the highlight of this game. Music's good, a combination of traditional instruments/vibe with some EDM. Routes are too short, good enough but surely it can be more than that.

<report>This particular game is the type of game that has it's strengths and weaknesses. And for it's flaws, what it does well, it does REALLY well.

To sum it up, this is in spirit an game about beautiful women duelling with swords. As well as the dramatic relationships that form and split based on this form of swords combat turned into a futurized version of sports.

It is technically an dating game, but i say technically because the common route is practically the whole game and it's all about the aforementioned drama and sword duelling, the dating and romance is more of an afterthought that you can see in the "afterstories" that unlock after completing the main game. This is the games main... Read more »

<report>I liked it, I can not deny that the style of crystalia is noted in the fights, each of them was perfectly understood, they improved a lot in that aspect since the first game and no one can deny it, But ....
It was really necessary to practically leave aside the romance until literally finish the game? I understand that the common route has many separate pieces but if we go to the count of hours the singular routes do not even last 40 minutes while the common route lasted all that the first game... that is honestly a major flaw, I even thought I was playing a yuri in some parts, it lacks much romance (it is fine that has 2 fandisc to fix that) but it could never overcome Mekuiro or trenka... <report>I prayed. I prayed so hard after despairing over the MekuRabe demo-- please for the love of all that is holy, bring back Jindou, the one ray of hope in this series. Day and night I prayed, every day, sacrificing money to the almighty CRYSTALiA gods by getting the 'deluxe' versions of the two laughably short spinoff nukiges they pumped out for MekuIro.

I am sorry to say this... but I may have prayed just a bit too hard. I got exactly what I wanted-- Jindou... but what was sacrificed as a result was too great for this game to surpass the original MekuIro.

This game has the Jindou down pat. I don't think it gets much better. The writing of the combat is same high quality in MekuIro, letting... Read more »
