<report>This is a bit of an odd one. I was more than half prepared to drop this game even after several hours in. It feels shallow, does a lot of weird things (like devaluing its relationship building by revealing that you already slept with half of the girls, including your sister, in the past; or by disrupting regular narrative gameplay with lewd render unlocks; or having random mid-game credits that aren't removed with the next update)... but then, somehow, the game gets really engaging five episodes in, and the girls are just, well, easy to grow attached to.

Then the game hits you with the revelation that the previous 20 hours were just the prologue. I'll report back next year...

<report>MBIML is a bit of a weird one; despite what the name might imply, there is no trace of femdom, nor is there any trace of a revenge plot. It's more of a weird story about people getting back together and fixing past misunderstandings.

It doesn't have the most stellar storytelling, minus ~two currently released chapters which are definitely above average - It's the classic indie mix of love-sappy romantic storytelling with mystery undertones; but for an indie VN, this is still in the upper half of them. Decently good renders, good writing and spelling, there is soundtrack which is surprisingly fitting (albeit stolen), and a fairly diverse cast of characters.

It's mostly well done for the quality that you'd normally expect with some really stellar moments helping it round up into an 8.

<report>A story that only gets better as it progresses, a concept that lends itself surprisingly well to heartfelt character moments, and plenty of legitimately profound story beats about enduring love, familial ties, finding one's place in the world, and accepting the past and letting it help you grow. Emma is by far the best route (also the first route completed by the devs, I think), and if nothing else, play that.
