Description

Two childhood friends attend Takafuji Gakuen: Yuuki, who wants to fall in love, and Chisato, who hates chocolates. They are part of the food research club along with their friend and classmate Mifuyu. Even though it’s a food research club, they don’t actually do anything except for buying candy with the club budget and enjoying their time together. It is an irreplaceable place to them. However, the club’s existence is in danger with one of the student council president candidates, Satsuki, vowing to close all clubs that don’t do anything. Since their club is in this list, they do their best to save it but there’s no other way but to participate in the student council president elections and defeat her. Yuuki is persuaded by Chisato to run in the election. At first he isn’t interested at all, but since the club members are trying their hardest, he too wants to win to save the club.

<report>The Good:
Art & character design. The art is just gorgeous. Everything from the character sprites to the CGs looks like they're popping straight out of a high-quality manga cover.

The Bad:
Everything else. The story is awful. Koichoco exists in a fantasy world where Student Councils are the equivalent of minor governments, and have all sorts of batshit authority. It's fine that it's unrealistic, but it's also plain *boring*. It's hard to feel invested at all in protag-kun becoming president. Or in any other character. They're all either cardboard personalities, or annoying as hell (or both).

Even if all you want is a moege, there are other options that will not waste as much time. Unless you're just in this for the art/h-scenes and can do a mental autopilot, I recommend skipping it

<report>Chisato is definitely the heroine the developers wanted the reader to focus on - playing a major role in all the routes and even becoming an obstacle to overcome in Mufuyu's and Aomi's routes. It was actually a relief when she had a suspicious lack of involvement in Morishita's route. I wouldn't say Yuuki is completely oblivious to things like the heroines feelings and reception of various 'political' statements or reform ideas during the elections but he's pretty close. I can't fault him for being motivated though as he earnestly does his best in each route. Story as a whole could be more fleshed out - I think if a xxx scene was removed from each route and replaced with more heroine interaction things would be more natural. Best routes/girls Michiru >Mufuyu >Satsuki >Chisato >Aomi

<report>Entertaining, not the best thing i've ever read for sure, lots of cliche, for characters and plot, but it has it's moments.

Really like the artstyle, not exactly unique but it stands out.

Some good music, great voice acting.

The slice of life is not always good, there were many times were i started to get bored.

Best part are the problems of each girls, game was at it's best when it got serious.

Recommended, but it's not a vn that's going to stay in my memory for long.

<report>I unsarcastically like it when I do not have to make much choices. Some plots are just bad, but the art style carried it. I love this game, I still remember bringing my brick of a laptop to play this game during our summer vacation.

<report>While the setting is utterly contrived and unbelievable, this game somehow manages to project a wholesome and genuine vibe through its music, art, and character interactions. There's just one big hurdle between you and a well-executed highschool eroge: despite sucking an unbelievable amount of ass as both a character and love interest, Chisato is inexplicably forced down your throat as a required first route. So, uh, that's something to deal with. Get past that though, and most of the remaining heroine routes are pretty enjoyable by moege standards. I can't vouch for the realism of the election stuff, but it does the job no worse than any other moege gimmick when it comes to introducing drama when the plot pace calls for it.

<report>Koichoco is a good game, but not incredible. Common route is average, character routes are as expected for a Moege with drama, not bad.
But with the problematic Chisato's repetitive jealous behavior.

Artwork: 10/10
Soundtrack: really good.
The Game's writing is average.

And regarding the routes:

Chisato: It's a somewhat interesting route.

Michiru: A rather strange and unique route with a cute ending.

Mifuyu: A route with heavy involvement from Chisato as a problem; it could have been better planned.

Isara: A cuter route, obviously with a bit of drama that all routes have, and the problematic involvement of Chisato as an obstacle.

Satsuki: A good route with a pleasant ending, I don't have much to comment about it.

I recommend Koichoco; it's a good Moege and worth playing.

<report>Chisato single handedly set back childhood friends by a decade. I can understand being traumatized by your brother's passing but holy fuck what she needs is a goddamn therapist. She actively ruins every route that she's in and makes the game even worse. The devs for some fucking reason thought having every other route locked until you complete the Chisato end was a good idea.

Absolute garbage heroine.

<report>This VN is boring and has no sexual content in the beginning and mid game. I can only recommend this for those who like: slice of life, schoolgirls, school life (mainly about student council president election), casual joke, cute girls, light romance, surrounded by girls.
But for you who expect erotic art, thrill, drama or high sexual content, you are in wrong channel.
And the anime version is much better to watch since it is compacting the unnecessary lengthy VN and removed most of the boring slice of life in VN.

For suggestion to developer: I think it is better for this VN to remove the crappy H-scenes and focus on polishing romance and story instead, removing unnecessary lengthy stuffs. A half-baked VN is a recipe for failure.
