Description

Riki was a child when his parents died, leaving him hopeless and depressed. What saved him was a group of four kids calling themselves the Little Busters. They took Riki out and played with him during his time of need. He really enjoyed being together with them, and his grief gradually faded away. Now in his second year of high school they still hang out, fight and live together, and enjoy their school life.

Little Busters! contains several mini-games, including a baseball practice game and a duel battle system.

<report>Little Busters is a visual novel that focuses it's existence on maturity from childhood. To strengthen bonds with others, or to strengthen your own mentality, this is a tale about that. There are six routes when you start, and since Little Busters follows the same rules as Clannad, there is an enforced ending-completion order before you can reach the beginning of the true story.

ps; This is the complete version, so it also includes the three additional routes from Little Busters EX that can be unlocked when you complete all the routes. So yes, it has Saya available to be unlocked! :'D

<report>Little Busters! is in the pantheon of VNs for a reason. To sum it up in two brief bullets:

-It's the quintessential high school/friendship/coming of age VN. It's the one high school VN where I never felt for a second that I wanted it to not be in a high school. It's fun, determined, joyful, sad, heartfelt, childish, and mature all at the same time. All the busters are loveable in their own ways, and Rikki is a great protagonist. It's a pleasure to watch him grow up over the course of the story.

-It has a killer true route that takes things to the next level, but doesn't go off the rails and still manages to make it feel like all the other routes were worth it, which is the major problem with true routes generally and why I don't usually like them.

You should play it.

<report>Little Busters is my favourite group of friends centered vn, with great chemistry between the cast. A very good, fun common route. Ideal school orientated setting, focusing on the right things for it.

I don't think there was a single heroine route that I did not enjoy, part of that was due to me liking pretty much every character in the cast, also resulting in the later drama being able resonate with me. When I think about it that way, it was a very consistent game in that regard.

The only bumps were the final parts of the game ending a little too conveniently which was a little anticlimactic, but it was still acceptable. The minigames felt randomly thrown in, you can skip them at least. Small criticisms in relation to the rest of the game.

Highly recommend, another great Key VN.

<report>Really good, if you want something to replace Clannad experience, at least partially.
Nice female characters, GREAT male main characters (really funny ones). Nice routes (some of the girls not that interesting though).
Good visuals.
Great OST (especially opening and Alicemagic!)
Also it have GAMEPLAY (optional), and it's FUN! ...Except the actual tournament (it sucks). It's still not about baseball though, so if you don't like it, you can just ignore it for the most part.
Also, battles! You can literally punch girls here! THAT'S 10/10 (yeah, just kidding)
LB also have a continuation for completing all routes, which is pretty much the best part of it. Really interesting and emotional!
Recomended if you like Key's novels and/or romantic genre.

<report>What a ride…as a fan of different works from Key, I saw a lot of people saying really good things about it, and considering the grade that it got from VNDB, my expectations were high…and it delivered more than that.

It hard to put into words on how and why Little Busters works so well, but some highlights are: Amazing OST, a great balance between funny and serious moments, awesome supporting cast, and last but not least, one of the best “true routes” that I’ve seen in my life.

I’m so grateful to be able to read this masterpiece, and it is works like Little Busters that make me proud to have Visual Novels as a hobby!

(Masato, Kengo and Kyousuke…I hope we can play baseball some day!)

<report>One of the best cast of characters that I have ever seen, as well as a great overarching plot and emotional twist at the end that really hits the home run on the main lesson of this visual novel.
Refrain is single-handedly one of the greatest routes of all time.

Problem is Saya's route is absolutely garbage and leaves a bad taste in your mouth after finishing this game, with it's horrendously tedious minigames and irrelevance to the main plot at hand.

My ratings:
Kurugaya's Route: 3/10
Saya's Route: 1/10
Rin's Route+Refrain: 10/10
Kanata's Route: 7/10
Mio's Route: 4/10
Haruka's Route 9/10
Komari's Route: 8/10
Sasami's Route: 7/10
Kud's Route 9/10

<report>I like the game. It's good. I didn't expect that from the key studio. I don't like the studio because of way big games. Clannad has 13 endings. It is too much. I quit the game on the 7th ending. But little busters is better. The game is way faster and way better but there are still one big problem and that is routes. They almost all boring. Refrain is a masterpiece on 9/10. But other routes are not that good at all. Just regular stories with sad things in it. But some of them are good like Komari's route and Rin's one. The problem is simple - to get the refrain, you will have to complete at least 6 routes of other girls. It wasn't that good. If you like romance, than you'll like it. But if you wanna see a masterpiece, than you should play something else. Is refrain worth for playing? Yes.

<report>One of the best visual novels I've ever played. The Refrain route--the final route you can achieve after playing through all the others--was so incredibly moving and emotional. I haven't cried from a Visual Novel so horrifically since finishing Ibuki Fuuko's route in Clannad. It just makes me happy to think about this game, honestly. It feels like a friend--everything about it is so heartwarming. Definitely read it at some point, I beg you.
