DescriptionA Head of Onmyouji, serving to Mikado Ryuumei, and an arranged husband for her stepdaughter, Mikado Ryuusui. Despite this marriage being arranged, he loves her, and she loves him back. He has two shikigami, Niko and Teirei. His position as the Head of Onmyouji is only nominal, as it is Mikado Ryuumei herself who manages the work on leading onmyouji and matters like this. This role is not suited for him; he cannot even be called a proper onmyouji. He does not use proper onmyoujutsu. His techniques are unique to him and can not be properly imitated by others. Also, his nature is just not compatible with this kind of work. Therefore, he was said not to do anything. Most of the time, he brilliantly fulfills the directive by indulging in good sake. Still, sometimes he helps Mikado Ryuumei or carries out her tasks.

Yakou was a relaxed, quiet, and serene person. When Kyougetsu Sakuya saw his presence for the first time, she said that it was a hole in the space. His love for Ryuusui was rather strange. He loved her like a child, who found joy in observing ants from above. The reason for it was in his nature: he is not simply arrogant but completely distinct from other people, as he deems himself to exist on a completely different level.
