Description

In a time before World War II, as Japan was inching toward conflict, there was a secluded village named Hitogata, also known as the Village of Dolls. It was tucked away within the snow-laden mountains of the Hokuriku region. Here, an unusual tradition prevailed — the veneration of clay figurines, known as Hinna-sama.

One night, on the eve of a festive celebration, tragedy struck. A girl was found brutally murdered. Whispers of fear swept through the village. The locals suspected the ominous "Curse of Hinna-sama," suggesting the girl was punished by the divine doll itself. They believed an outsider, unqualified to perform the sacred rites of Hinna-sama, had invoked the deity's wrath.

Fast forward to December 1957.
Almost two years had passed since Kuchiki Touko was mysteriously abducted from her hospital room. Private investigator Tokisaka Reiji remained determined in his quest to find her.

At the same time, he was asked by the police to investigate some peculiar murder cases. Both cases shared a gruesome detail: victims were found strung up with a clay doll buried within their abdomen. Reiji wasn't working alone. Assisting him was Tomoyuki Masaki, a man who was once a prime suspect in the first murder and who had attempted suicide.

Meanwhile, a religious group, previously believed to have disbanded six years earlier, was showing signs of activity, raising questions about their intentions.

An eerie reminder reverberated through the unfolding mysteries — whether the curse is a decree from the heavens, humans ultimately carry out the deed.

<report>I thought for sure it wouldn't live up to the prequel, but boy was I wrong. At first I was wary of having a second protag, but his character was well written and likeable, almost as much as Reiji (←spoilers in that meme).

This time around, you have Yaginuma filling in for Uozomi, Yukiko filling in for Touko, and Touji from Cartagra added to the mix. You have the same gameplay/blind choices, except now it's slightly less tedious 100% the game.

The same amazing art, music, and atmosphere is back. But remember, this is still KNS, so don't get your hopes up for happy endings. Less focus on H or romance compared to the prequel.

Although I would've liked to see a bad end/incest route for Karen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

<report>An outstanding sequel to the first game with a moving soundtrack, beautiful artwork and deep characters. They added a lot of new things, but its still consistent. The mystery itself imo is even harder to predict than the prequel and adds more depth to the prequel which is great. Beginning was slow, but picks up quickly once you control Reiji/Masaki. I loved:
- Masaki is a relatable, human character. his perspective is refreshing and nuanced given his connections
- Yukiko is absolutely fascinating and you just want to learn more about her
- Immensely complex mystery thats difficult to predict
- Yukari has a big presence and involvement in this game
- Reiji being a bad ass as usual
- Impactful detective decisions beyond choosing the right answer - just like the first game

<report>I went into this expecting it to live up to every praise it received and I was not dissappointed. In fact, it exceeded it with flying colors. While it had to cut corners with the detective elements i.e. the investigation bits being relatively straightforward, it makes up with a masterfully written story, a slower yet tighter pacing, and a presentation that blows the first game out of the park. Kara no Shoujo 2 is what I wanted out of the first Kara no Shoujo and more.

<report>I simply can't say anything bad about this game. It's awesome. It's fantastic.

The story tells us about Tokisaka Reiji and of course we gonna continue the first game.
I've heard a lot of things about the game like it's way complicated and you shouldn't play in it. But some people say it's really fantastic game. However it took me about two month to download it and I don't regret it.

The game is too interesting and easy to read. Murders, gore, interesting characters, new story, awesome main characters. All of it you will find in this visual novel.

I'd suggest you play in it as a fan of Kara no Shoujo. 8.5/10

<report>If you like KnS then obviously, you have to read this VN. This time, another MC has joined our cast. And with his joining, a bunch of murders is to be expected. In this game, we will continue our journey to find Touko and along that, we'll unconver the past and present mysteries surrounded our new MC. Of course, those mysteries will be connected to Touko's fate as you may suspect.

PS: There's a really touching text that I really liked which couldn't be found on the internet. So I included them here for anyone who are interested.

It's been a while.
How I've longed to see you...
I wish we didn't have to part again,
but I'll always be by your side...
So, I'm not lonely anymore....

<report>It was obvious that Innocent Grey had a great work in them well before Kara no Shoujo's second instalment. For all their faults, there are no other visual novels quite like Kara no Shoujo and its prequel Cartagra—the extreme content was expected, and the 1950s Tokyo setting added character, but what really distinguished them was their profound moral indifference. It's the coldest world you'll find in this medium: generational tragedies unfold with only cruel irony to mark their significance, characters die in such an abrupt and offhand manner as to render them anonymous, and in all cases, there is no attempt by the narrative to extract moral meaning from even the goriest displays of...
