<report>The 2nd side of the story ties the first one excellently. Every small detail in the first side makes now sense. The love for maps, daffodils, rules passed, curses - everything. "If I were a saint. If my prayers weren't just for comfort. Then now, a miracle would happen...". Beautiful in its sadness, Narcissu 2 ties everything together perfectly, making for a complete narrative, bittersweet until the end. A serious theme presented in a flawless manner. I loved this story, and I wish for you to do too, because...

in those dazzling days, those winter days, in times like these, it's okay to cry.

<report>I read Narcissu 2nd about seven years ago when I was a teenager. Since then, I have known what a great visual novel means. Now I'm 22 and nothing changes. Brilliant.

I consider paying for this game (because it has a free version on Steam too) as support and respect for developers and translators team, though DLC content (mini-stories) can be called some sort of interesting as well.

<report>Different from the first part this part truly moved me, i cried a lot, for me Himeko was the perfect character for Narcissu, a character who has already accepted his destiny and regrets the past, the relationship of Himeko and Setsumi it's natural and well made and several things about the setsumi from the first game are explained here.

<report>I was like... "Oh, so that's why Setsumi did what she did". I can't relate that much to Christian references, but some of them I do. Like the 7th Floor where people come to die references the 7th day where He rests. In this case, resting means resting in peace. Setsumi has been through a lot.

<report>I played the Steam version. I don't think the game itself is bad, even though it's pretty minimalist (no sprites, only a few CGs, only text and background most of the time). The art is nice, it has voice acting, the characters are pretty intersting (aside from Setsumi) The thing is, because it's so minimalist, it relies heavily on the text... Text that is incredibly poorly translated.

The translator tries so hard to maintain the structure of Japanese that you end up with a really poorly written text in English. I had to read some sentences several times to understand them because the word order made no sense. There are many words left in Japanese for no reason, pointless translator's notes... Read more »

<report>I would recommend this VN, but it's not a strong recommendation. Overall it's great, and I felt that it was worth my time. I wouldn't say it's in my top 5 though. Maybe top 10 VNs, so actually that is pretty good. But it's only a maybe. If you aren't weary of morbid stuff, then it could possible be a good read for you.

Most of my comments from my review of Narcissu 1 are still relevant, so I won't retread the same points too much.

EXPERIENCE

Again, as opposed to being bashed with a blunt object with colorful variations of different emotions (which I quite enjoy and appreciate and admire) as other VNs would, Narcissu 2 takes a well-polished, fine-edged sashimi knife out of a freezer and... Read more »
