Description

The setting for the game takes place roughly one year after the events of the first game.Like the first game, the first trial is a tutorial one that guides the player, Phoenix Wright, into all of the elements of the Ace Attorney courtroom. This is established by having Phoenix receive amnesia due to a head trauma. The remaining three trials are united by the mysterious disappearance of prosecutor Miles Edgeworth.

Justice For All plays similarly to the first Ace Attorney game as a visual novel/adventure game. While the game has been adapted from the GBA version to use the DS touch screen, none of the special investigation techniques introduced in the "Rise from the Ashes" case from the first game reappear.

A small but significant change is that a player can now present the profiles of people involved with the case, in addition to the evidence in the Court Record. The player can present them either during the court room or investigative phases.

Justice for All features a new gameplay concept called Psyche-Lock. Phoenix Wright has to unlock several locks that have been placed over a witness' heart in order to reveal the truth.

<report>This is sort of a hot take within the Ace Attorney community, but I think this is the best game in the series. It's got the usual blend of strong drama and strong comedy, the improvements to the formula over the first game are great, and the case solutions are difficult without being impossible to figure out. Also, it helps that I'm the only person on Earth who doesn't hate the circus case. Out of the many off-the-wall characters that show up in this series - especially after this game - a group of insular circus performers being eccentric is pretty reasonable.

<report>More of the same, amazing music, art, chara design, good mystery, good user interface

Characters aren't bad but hardly interesting, it's easy to get bored.

Like the first one if like me you're bad at figuring out the case yourself this gets very frustrating.

If you liked the first one you'll liked this one, it's more of the same.

<report>The second in the series maintains the strengths of the first, and introduces an amusing character that whips the hell out of poor Pheonix during court cases and everyone is ok with that, naturally.

Jokes aside, this edition maintains the good aspects of the first. Though it's a bit up and down with the cases, I considered all but the final case to be a bit poor, and the final case took me by surprise with a couple of interesting developments that had me rooting for some certain characters, and really saved this edition of the game by the end.

<report>I feel the need to start off with some negativity when talking about Justice for All and I think that is because I played it as a trilogy and it was the worst of the three. It certainly isn't bad but I don't remember much from it other than vague feelings of positivity mixed with a little boredom. I also feel the need to say that it certainly is a must play if you like Ace Attorney. Regardless it felt slow and the stakes it tried to set up never landed. I have an overall problem with the series in that death never really has as much weight as I think it could. Justice for All really exasperates this issue. It still is a really good game and I wish I could remember more specifics but its been a few years (i'm not old wtf, i'm 20). I remember really liking Ini Miney and her hat.

<report>An extremely overhated and underrated game. It goes for a far more depressing mood than most of the other games, and I like that. Great writing, an amazing soundtrack and great characters make this one my favorite Ace Attorney game.
9/10, really fucking awesome.

<report>imagine if the first Phoenix Wright game had a really annoying prosecutor, the worst case in the original trilogy, two other fairly weak cases and then clawed back right at the end with the best case in the original trilogy

what a wild ride
