Description

"Wheeze... wheeze..."

The sound of the cicadas seeps out from the treetops. I pedal my creaky bicycle, trying to avoid being noticed by people as best I can. About thirty minutes later, I arrive at the approach to an old-fashioned shrine. In front of a ridiculously long flight of stone steps stands a faded torii gate.

Once I step forward from here, there will be no turning back.

The oppressive rays of the sun and the depressingly green leaves, carrying their distinctive stifling odor of the rainy season, weigh heavily upon me.

I can't linger here forever. It would be a disaster if someone saw me burying this thing. If by any chance that were to happen, I would certainly be doomed. Besides, considering the temperature, this thing is going to rot very soon. It is, after all, a mass of proteins -that is to say, a corpse.

I recall last night's events and feel dizzy. The incessant buzzing of the cicadas and the sweat trickling down my throat bring me back to reality. What happened yesterday... was not a dream. With a gulp, I muster my resolve and begin my ascent up the stone steps.

[Translated from DMM]

Similar to the original Suika, this sequel is a collection of mysterious love stories: Shinji and Ami, Mitsuhiko and Mei, Takashi and Haruka, and the nameless girl. From the director’s selection quick synopsis, it appears to be quite focused on the drama, similar to true tears. Once again, there’s a nameless girl, but it’s not the same one as the original.
