Description

Our protagonist is a fan of Japanese anime and games. He makes friends with some Japanese people on the internet, and decides to stay with them for a week.

Thrilled by the prospect of a week's sightseeing in Japan, he touches down in the airport, only to discover that his new friends -- "Makoto" and "Akira" -- are actually a pair of attractive young sisters!

After their introductions, the protagonist arrives at their house to learn that no one else is there.
"Um... where are your parents?"
"Our parents were called out of town for two weeks on urgent business."
(In other words, the only ones in the house will be Makoto, Akira, and I?)
(How is that going to work!?)

The local culture has some surprises in store on your first night there, but you'll soon head out on the town! Enjoy the date-like atmosphere as Makoto and Akira take you on a tour of famous sites. You'll marvel at the beauty and history of Japanese culture, fill up on local delicacies, and even share some thrilling moments with the girls!

The week you spend in Japan will certainly be memorable!

<report>It is a tourist advertisement disguised as a vn. You can't expect much, right?
It has interesting information about Japan. But, like all advertisements, one wonders to what extent there is reality there.
The feature of inserting the dollar rate was well thought out. However, since I played the 2011 version, I wonder to what extent the values indicated were maintained (as well as other changes in Japan in these 10 years).
The girls are nice. Their personalities are cliché, but they have enough charisma to entertain me. It could have less fan service, but I have been reading vn long enough to know that this is not unusual.

All in all, it wasn't a bad read. But I can't find a reason to recommend it considering it's an idealized advertisement from 10 years ago with a bland romance.

<report>As a story, its mediocre. As a gateway to learning about Japan, and traveling Japan, its fantastic. The only gripe is there's a few UI glitches. Highly recommended to anyone who is interested in Japan or Japanese culture.

<report>A Competent Brochure. A Weak Visual Novel.

Go Go Nippon has one goal in mind:

To advertise the best tourist spots that Japan has to offer.

In this regard the game is fantastic. Providing a wealth of information for some of the most interesting landmarks within the country. Go Go Nippon is more akin to an educational game moreso than an actual visual novel with story and characters. So in a way the game does fulfill its intended purpose. But I don't think fulfilling a simple goal makes you an entertaining piece of media. Rather it's what should be expected of a work. This is where my main issue with Go Go Nippon lies. It's merely content with just providing information to me in the least... Read more »
