Description

A girl blessed with immortal life and cursed with a cruel fate seeks a future for herself.

The protagonist lived in a world with a strict and ever present class system.
She was the slave of a deformed, vulgar master, and endured his mental and physical abuse each and every day.

However, she accidentally received eternal life from the king of their world, and was stripped of what little rights remained to her.

The people descended upon her with cruelty and malice.
They played with her, knowing that she could not die.
The protagonist wanted to be free of such an eternity, but could not even commit suicide...
However, someone told her that if she killed the king, she could also die. She attempted such a murder, failed, and had to escape from the town, her pursuers hot on her heels.

An unfathomable length of time would then pass in which she would meet other people and have to part from them, at times threatened by the pursuers the king had sent...

What future awaits someone who cannot die? This is the story of a girl cursed with that cruel fate.

I was expecting something akin to a Nukige considering the multitude of tags. But it really isn't.

Most of the scenes are in the bad endings. If I counted correctly only around 15 of 53 are shown if you go for the true end. Getting all scenes did drag on for a while but I suggest to at least read a few of the bad endings before the true end, because it fits the grand scheme of the story.

While the game begins with a lot of sex/rape scenes, there aren't many in the later parts. The story becomes focused on the life of the protagonist and other characters, with the last chapter even a bit philosophical in regard to immortality, leading to a very emotional ending.

<report>Came for the dark sexual content, ended up finishing it on pretty emotional note. You've got a story here as you can tell from summary and the title, the struggles of an immortal girl. This VN spans across different time periods and really nice to see how our protagonist develops across. There's quite a bit of hardcore sexual scenes in the beginning, but past that things get much better. If you avoid getting into any of the bad ends, there's not actually that much sexual content for most of the story. Its also one of the few stories where you can feel empathetic to the villains, though hard to imagine. The story only loses points for me in how certain cast members I don't think are used fully and could have been used/return more to the story and certain segments felt a bit too long.

This game is underrated and underplayed in my opinion, because it looks like a nukige in the same way Euphoria looks like a nukige, but this story spends less of its screentime pretending to be one by comparison. My minor criticisms are that the male cast deserve voice acting and it's a shame they don't have any, and that there are the most minor of plotholes for some actions taken, but they didn't affect my enjoyment of the plot. Solid writing, voice acting, and art await you. Most of the mandatory dark scenes are there (in my opinion) to make you feel bad for the protagonist, not to be fan service. Highly recommend this one if you can tolerate the subject matter, the game gets more enjoyable after chapter 1.

<report>I think it's safe to say that Mugen Renkan is unique. It begins as a simple dark nukige but quickly transforms into a coming-of-age story as well as a long journey through the ages.

You see a lot of different things during the travel and notice how the protagonist changes after experiencing them as well. She was a nameless slave and victim of sexual abuse at first who could barely speak, and then the last chapter doesn't even have a single h-scene.

The story probably won't make you cry (though everything is possible), but it has a surprisingly high number of sweet and comfy moments. You can't help but get invested in the story and characters. Probably not something you'd expect launching... Read more »
