Description

The second entry in Sogna's long-running Viper franchise, Viper V-8 has the same format as its predecessor: three separate short stories with minimal interaction and animated sex scenes.

The three stories are:

1. "Friday the 18th": Obviously, a parody on horror movies, telling the story of four young girls who were sexually assaulted by mysterious masked men when camping near a forest.

2. "Demon's Night" is set in medieval times and describes a battle of three young heroes against a vicious demon. One of them is seriously injured in battle, while the other (a girl) is captured by the demon; the remaining warrior, a young man named Ryu, has to rescue his friend.

3. "Alien War" takes place in the future. A young space pilot named Sylvie is captured by aliens of the enemy camp.

2003-08-2918+  Viper-V8 RNon-freeCommercial1 DVDVIPER-V8 R includes the VIPER-V8 originals "Friday the 18th" and "Demon's Night", but with the reassignment of "Alien War" to VIPER-V6 R, a replacement was needed. As Sogna was in dire financial straits at this point they hastily created and included "Komachikawa Detective Agency", an incomplete game that was perhaps initially on the slate for inclusion in the future VIPER-M6 game, as a new cover series. This was done to give VIPER-V8 R some measure of star power that the other V series games had but VIPER-V8 lacked. Komachikawa was not as well received as Sogna had hoped.

VIPER-V8 R would ultimately prove to be Sogna's final release. It was not up to the challenge of saving the company from bankruptcy.
