Review | My first foray into BL literally only because this one actually seemed interesting, but it's just a huge let down. It has nothing to do with me liking gurls, but assuming Takeru's route is representative of the other routes, pretty much ALL of the male characters are completely uninteresting until the very, very end when you actually know more about them besides that they're "cool". MC is essentially a damsel until the end where through the power of love (yes, the power of love is actually a bullshit power up mechanic in this story) where the MC is actually competent. The game can be split up into 3 sections: romance, "common route" (that is actually just pretty much the entire game), and conclusion to the story. I'm not going to play the other routes since the story is like actually already done and nothing more about it needs to be expanded upon tbh. Imagine a plotge where no matter what route you're on, you save the world in the same exact way, and then you get your ending with the heroine. The heroine of course contributes nearly nothing. The story is all over the place in terms of quality for me and it would really need more CGs to properly explain some mechanics... Pretty much the only objective positive I can give to it without saying any negatives about it is the romance. There being gay relationships actually makes sense in this world (thanks to the power of love bullshit power up) and it's done gradually instead of going straight into raw dogging within the first few hours. |
