ReviewMy first foray into BL literally only because this one actually seemed interesting, but it's just a huge let down. It has nothing to do with me liking gurls, but assuming Takeru's route is representative of the other routes, pretty much ALL of the male characters are completely uninteresting until the very, very end when you actually know more about them besides that they're "cool". MC is essentially a damsel until the end where through the power of love (yes, the power of love is actually a bullshit power up mechanic in this story) where the MC is actually competent.

The game can be split up into 3 sections: romance, "common route" (that is actually just pretty much the entire game), and conclusion to the story. I'm not going to play the other routes since the story is like actually already done and nothing more about it needs to be expanded upon tbh. Imagine a plotge where no matter what route you're on, you save the world in the same exact way, and then you get your ending with the heroine. The heroine of course contributes nearly nothing.

The story is all over the place in terms of quality for me and it would really need more CGs to properly explain some mechanics... Pretty much the only objective positive I can give to it without saying any negatives about it is the romance. There being gay relationships actually makes sense in this world (thanks to the power of love bullshit power up) and it's done gradually instead of going straight into raw dogging within the first few hours.

< report >How is this a full non biased review when you literally just read one route and then assume all of them are similar to that one lol

< report >Uhhh when did I say I’m some ethical journalist who only gives non-biased reviews?? And when you get pretty much 90% of the story before even entering the actual meat of a route, I’d argue you’ve pretty much read the entire thing and the only reason to read through a different route is just to get a different epilogue. If I enjoyed my time with the game, I’d go to the other routes, but I didn’t.

< report >One of the bullet points vndb provides you when you go the review page is "try to be as objective as possible," that's what he's using as a reference. Though, being objective in a review is a pretty stupid sentiment altogether, so I'd ignore it.
But assuming that all the routes are like the one route you played, especially when there are multiple writers credited on this project, devalues your entire review. It's just not a very rational thing to say.

< report >Yes, let’s ignore the whole 90% of the story (aka no h-scenes) is treated as already read text and just focus on the different epilogues part.

< report >If you'd like to play a BL mostly for the plot maybe you'll have better luck with Koshotengai no Hashihime or NO, THANK YOU!!!

Those were two BLs where I couldn't care less about the romance or porn (because it was so shit) and just wanted to see wtf would happen next lol. Though if it annoys you NTY!!! has way more porn than Hashihime--Hashihime only has 1 sex scene per route

Unfortunately, the selection of BLs that are out rn all have pretty meh plot. Developers focus on selling sex to fujoshis instead of writing a good story. BL writers don't hesitate to throw the story under a bus as long as it means they can fit in one more rape scene.....Last modified on 2023-03-29 at 05:18
