ReviewUchi no Imouto (Uchikano - Living with My Sister!) is a short (under 3 hours for me) single route VN and is the second in the Uchikano series (between Kanojo / Girlfriend and Koibito / Lovers). Much like the first Uchikano, this is a straightforward sweet single route visual novel with nearly zero drama. I do think that this one is a step down in quality from Uchi no Kanojo though. Even with that, I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys a straightforward sweet story without drama.

This visual novel is a bit bare bones in its presentation just like the initial entry. So just like Uchi no Kanojo, the only characters with sprites and voices are the heroines in the three Uchikano entries, but the protagonist does show up in CGs. BGM is fairly minimalist and unobtrusive and the systems are straightforward and standard. Sexual content is fairly high for the length (10 H-scenes per in game gallery).

Protagonist is the same as before - a straightforward, inoffensive office worker who works hard and has no defining characteristics outside of being considerate and nice to basically everyone.

With all single-route visual novels whether you enjoy it or not will really come down to whether you like the heroine in question. Riho - the titular sister - is a brocon and is entertaining between her bouts of seriousness and laziness, as well as her love of pizza. I am not a big fan of the imouto character archetype, but I found Riho to be entertaining rather than frustrating as she felt like a full character rather than just the archetype itself. I do wish the VN was a bit longer as there were some things that weren't even explored until the after story, and I would've found some exploration on that even more interesting.

Again, if you like straightforward and sweet visual novels, this is a pretty safe read for you if you think you'll like Riho. While I do wish it could've been expanded a bit, for a low budget singleroute VN this was a pretty decent read.
