| Review | This was a good read, the murder mystery and investigation parts were good, as were the psychological thriller aspects of it. The relationships between the characters were great and especially how interconnected the story was. However, I felt as if this one was better than the sequels, as in the best in the series in terms of the pacing and charm of the characters as well as the messages in the story. This story has probably one of the most hopeful endings of the first two stories,That being the Yaginuma ending where Reiji swallows his pride and actually is the only ending where Toko does not die, yes it is bittersweet but Reiji saves someone at the cost of discovering the truth, the other endings have the opposite, he discovers the truth but loses Toko. . Overall it was really well done story, it honestly could have been told in one singular story, but nevertheless it was good. Someone could read this story and not read the others and be satisfied in terms of one ending, of course reading the true endings and other endings will lead to a need to read the sequel. |
