Review | Sonohana 11 is the introduction of another new couple - Miya and Risa - as well as the continuation story of the five couples that came before them in Sonohana's 1-10. If you haven't played any of the Sonohana titles before, this is not a bad place to start, although you will miss some context and background for the pre-existing couples. The new couple is cute between Risa's shyness and Miya's straightforward snarkiness. All the couples before are similar to how they were before as well, but with some changes since the writer changed. Runa (from 7/9) is noticeably less of a bully, and Mai/Reo's antics have been exaggerated a bit more than they were before. The other couples are largely unchanged from how they were in their previous titles. Past that, the production values have gone up a bit compared to before, as there are multiple voiced songs (OP, ED, 2 inserts if I counted correctly), and it felt like more CGs (ignoring HCG's) than the previous 10 titles combined. Regarding H-scenes I think the quality of them has gone down a bit, and some are very short, although there is still a decent number of them - 19 H-scenes (although 31 scenes in memories, this includes closing scenes and credits for each couple). Ultimately, if you liked Sonohana 1-10 at all, you'll enjoy 11. I would also recommend this to yuri fans as well. |
