ReviewIt’s definitely a unique sort of Otome; I’d describe it as a Otome dressed as a Moege; the general structure of an Otome with a Moege’s humor and H scenes.

It’s humor is definitely one of its charm points and makes it standout compared to the (few) other Otomes I’ve tried. Pretty much every scene is a comedy, even the opening; it’s one of the few VN Openings that I remember if only because it actually made me laugh. The many absurd bad endings are also amusing.

The protagonist Ema is a pretty defined character and does carry a lot of the humor. She’s so relentlessly pessimistic and depressed that it wraps round to being funny. A lot of her lines are unintentionally savage (a lot of the times towards herself).I have some quibbles with her voice acting at the start. I assume Ema is supposed to start off sounding extremely depressed but to me it wraps round into sounding weirdly sarcastic. At least it clears up as the VN goes on. The love interests, the vaguely sadistic Saito and vaguely masochistic Miki, bounce off her well and as a trio they make for entertaining idiots. As actual characters though, all three of them are fairly two-note with some basic and predictable development except for the hilariously out of left field yandere Ema in the threesome route

If you were expecting anything remotely interesting related to fashion you’ll be disappointed. It doesn’t talk about the industry in anything but the vaguest of terms and the clothes the story revolves around are literally fetish wear. Well maybe that’s also fashion considering this ridiculous crap apparently counts as fashion.

Any serious parts of the VN are lackluster (though it doesn’t matter that much since the vast majority of the game is just comedy anyway). The plot itself is the basic and uninspiring and there’s no real buildup to the romance; it just happens. Guess that’s the result when about 80% of the VN is common route.

The H scenes are a novelty- from the girl’s point of view for once and there are some novel situations (I doubt I’m going to see male nipple play or a MMF threesome anywhere else) but otherwise they’re as banally written as most other H scenes.

If you like Moeges and wanted to try a Otome, this would probably be the VN for you. Just don’t go into it with high expectations for anything but the humor.
