ReviewI wasn't expecting to have very many thoughts about this game. On the face of it, it's a simple fantasy told simply. You're a Japanese student who fails an important entrance exam twice and you're practically ready to give up altogether. However, as you get home you are graced by a beautiful Goddess who promises to heal all that ails you, assist you in passing the exam and meet your sexual desires.

What follows is standard fair. You study hard with her assistance, while she takes care of you and your home, allowing you to use her sexually as she babies you. The insecurities being addressed are clear. I feel this game is could be a microcosm for all the insecurities felt by male Japanese youth and young adult. The goddess, Mother, is literally a mother figure. In that she cares for you unconditionally regardless of your failure or perversion. She helps you when things get tough and believes in you even when reality says otherwise. Similar to a lot of Harem stories, its a combination of familial unconditional affection combined with sexual affection that is often very conditional.

The interesting part about this game though is the endings which really surprised me. The sex scenes in this game make frequent reference to pregnancy and I have played a bunch of Mother/son incest games already, so I felt as though I knew where this was going. The boy would get the goddess pregnant, pass the test and then live with his unconditional mommy stand-in for the rest of his days. But that's not what happens.

At the end, you get the only choice in the entire game. It simply asks you plainly. Did you pass the test. If you select "no", you go back home with the Goddess and she says that she'll stay with you and help you study even harder to pass because despite it all, she still believes in you. However, you've had a enough and can't take anymore failure. So instead were greeted to a pathetically hilariously scene of the protagonist pressing his head against the Goddess's sex, in an attempt to reenter the womb. Literally making him out to be a pathetic man child. If you select "yes", you come home with the goddess who tells you she has to leave because her job is done. You protest of course, but after having sex one last time, you fall asleep and she is gone. Leaving you with a great melancholy, but also a renewed confidence in yourself. This isn't necessarily a bad ending, its actually quite good, but in terms of the fantasy that it spent so much time creating, its the worst possible thing that could have happened. Which is a bit bold considering games like the Itsu-Mama series are content with allowing you to choose your brand of Mommy fantasy and live out your days with your Mommy-Wife hybrid.

Both of the ending are a bit sad in a way that's kind of unique for this admittedly shallow genre and because of that I think there is actual, genuine thematic value to parsed here. Its as though despite being almost complete smut, the game stop, stares into the soul of the overworked and lonely Japanese guy who bought this game to experience a fantasy, and tells them "You have to grow up." I think the endings are very clear. The game gave you a momentary fantasy, but the meaningful people in your life aren't just going to come to you and they aren't going to baby you all your life simply for failing. Eventually your "mother" won't be there for you and there no going back to womb to escape from the harsh world.

Anyways, 8/10. Would've been higher if it was longer and had pregnancy.
