| Review | My Little Sister's Special Place, is a VN that understands something simple: Siblings cannot work completely as "regular lovers", the boundaries on love types, are hard to define, and separate. That's its greatest strength, and the devs actually put some thought into the incest tag, instead of using a wholesome pure love approach as a "crutch", like so many other titles. The rest of the VN is also solid, and this was a very good time. Positive: - Heroine has many things going for her (more depth than usual, and i don't find her annoying); Many H-scenes, and they are OK; V.A is fine; Having some support cast is always a good thing; Visually acceptable (release date/ production scale); OST has some nice choices; Bilingual display; Incest tag doesn't feel wasted, sibling dynamics are interesting; Lighthearted slice of life, with the right energy and mentality; Little sister POV every now and then; Just enough drama to allow for a higher score. Negative: - They saved all the story for the ending segment. Things could have been better distributed. Score 7/10. Pure love and incest put together haphazardly makes no sense, and this VN acknowledges that. I understand that selling a "lighter type of taboo" is profitable, and at the end of the day "it's fiction", but personally the VN's efforts in presenting something slightly different, are appreciated. Highly recommended if you were mentally nodding along, while reading. |
