ReviewI'm still at the common route and I'm blown away by how relatable the MC is. he's perfectly what you'd describe as a jaded dude in his 30s who has seen shit in life and has long decided not to give shit about anything apart from basic needs. he doesn't try any harder than what is basically required of him. and by that I mean just make sure that food, utilities and rent is paid and if he has extra cash he can go for some bar fun. the author doesn't have to show what his past looked like, his internal monologue is all you need.

the heroines... yeah they're also acting very much the same as he is except Claris. Claris is still acting naive and idealistic, which is fine, but you can definitely tell that as soon as real shit is thrown at her she'll also end up like the other heroines. This right here is why I said in my Making*Lovers review that adult romance simply doesn't work. and it's not just the metformin thing. People say that the heroine routes are weak and I can see why. It'll just break his cynicism. I'm gonna stop playing as soon as heroine routes play out.

Apart from that I'm kinda surprised by the people here that nobody is getting pissed that the MC is a literal jerk. I mean I get it he is a jerk as a result of when real shit got thrown at them. This guy definitely has seen hell. The fact that I can easily think of a hundred real shit scenarios really helps on how I can relate to the guy.

In the end the MC is kind of a "validation drug" as to why most people chose the otaku/NEET life. sure the guy has a job, but thanks to his internal monologue it's kinda easy to imagine that he'd easily chose our life with just the right kind of environment.
