| Review | Initially, I wasn’t intrigued to buy this Lewdness ~Vita Sexualis~ since the protagonist is a female even though she looks cute (as expected from Seishoujo). But then as I eventually gave it a try, my prejudice changed. This visual novel actually has a very interesting plot and now I understand why the developer chose a girl as a protagonist. Long story short I think this is one of the best Empress & Seishoujo work I ever tried! I understand that a lot of people are lest interested in visual novel with female protagonist and so did I. But not after you try this one. The story writer apparently is trying to get the players to feel what it's like to be in a difficult situation that makes them feeling desperate because of the oppression. This seemingly became the reason why they choose a young beauty chick as the main character instead of guy, since as a male I agree that it is annoying to see a male being oppressed. I remembered playing Starless and getting irritated by a male who got humiliated by females. The storyline is also interesting as the protagonist is put in a lot of situation, where there are only bad and worse options instead of good or bad ones. It is kind of interesting that there are moments in a moment of adversity, she needs to choose whether to stand up for her friends and endure a torture or stay safe by obeying commands with humiliation as the consequence. On the other hand, the main chick also only has an option to depend on the other heroines, since almost all of the guys are worst. So there is no choice for an ideal romantic relationship. But, a story that isn’t written only to gratify the readers’ expectations always have an interesting side of its own. In terms of content, Lewdness has a lot of variety of ecchi contents, whilst thankfully there is no gore. In other words, this can satisfy a lot of audiences with different fetishes. Regardless, personally I wished there was a pregnancy content as well here. Ultimately, I wish JASTUSA or any other developer will pick up this VN soon as their next localization project. It will be great to see this novel in an English Version (and certainly an uncensored one) as it will let a huge number of audiences understand the story profoundly. Looking from the rank among other Empress works, am glad to see that it ranks the first in terms of rating and am sure the popularity will skyrocket as soon as the English + Uncensored Version is released. |
