ReviewThis is not the 3rd perfect sister in 3 games in a row (That's this one Tsukishima Kazuha ) But I haven't finished that game so we'll have to wait on it.

This is the 3rd Mecha-con game but I've only played the 2nd and 3rd. Still, it bases it's story on the idea that polygamy has been restored in Japan and become a requirement for all wealthy men because they have the finances to support many wives and children and are therefore given that responsibility. The difference here is that unlike Sakurajima Haruki and Nagato Kouichi this guy is broke. The opening scene is him watching the news with his little sister crawling on the floor and hearing about Mecha-cons a system of polygamous weddings. So he vows to have one of his own someday so he can make girls happy. The game is inconsistent on how old Nabekane Mikado and Nabekane Tsubasa are at the time. Tsubasa is very much an infant in the shot and he's what, 6? But later they're students in the same school together. So that's odd. Is she 5 years younger than him, or 2 years younger than him? Whatever.

So, Mikado meets Carrot le Angola and he and Carrot become friends. Furthermore Tsubasa has created a device called Pandora that downloads information from the internet into Mikado's brain. Although there's some humorous moments Pandora never plays much of a role other than introducing Carrot to his classroom and a couple other times it pops up. It's like they had the idea but didn't know what to do with it. -1 point from Gryffindor. Arisu realizes both a problem and an opportunity. See, if Mikado marries Carrot he'll have the wealth he needs to create his Mecha-con. So right away a spoiler about Arisu and her sister Neneko. Arisu advances the whole relationship by having sex with Mikado soon after Carrot is introduced. Then she tells Neneko. Neneko thinks she's lost to her own sister Arisu and does her best to congratulate her. Arisu explains that all she's done is started the Mecha-con and she will marry Mikado along with Carrot. Neneko yells at Arisu that this ruins everything, she's been working for years to convince Mikado that he would never have a Mecha-con and to pick someone, instead Arisu has screwed it all up. To which Arisu screams at her sister that she never understood anything and she has always wanted to be in Mikado's Mecha-con and it wasn't her desire to have Mikado to herself, it was Neneko's. She tells Neneko she hates her and runs off to be with Mikado. If Neneko refuses to be a part of Mikado's harem then so be it. Neneko then has to sort out her own feelings and decide if she really hates the idea of sharing. A+ great stuff.

There's some route choices to narrow down which heroine you're interested in. First between Arisu and Carrot or Neneko and Tsubasa. Then there's a wedding shortly after where Mikado marries Carrot, Arisu, Neneko, and Tsubasa followed by another choice either between Arisu or Carrot or between Neneko or Tsubasa depending on which heroines you chose before. This is where the routes finally diverge but because Mikado has married all 4 girls there's really no reason to believe all 4 routes aren't happening at once. He could be spending a few days helping Arisu with her doujinshi circle while spending his evenings trying to impregnate Carrot. He could have sex in the kitchen with Neneko and immediately after take a bath with Tsubasa. Just because it's not shown there really is no reason to believe he's 'chosen' a particular heroine, they're all his wives. Even Tsubasa's ending relies on him being married to Carrot to work. So the individual routes are more to get to know the heroines further after their wedding together.

One fantastic aspect of this game is the heroines get time in each other's routes. He has sex with Tsubasa while Carrot watches in Carrot's route. He has sex with Neneko and Arisu together on Arisu's route. He has sex with Tsubasa and Neneko together and so forth. All heroines don't have scenes together in all routes but there's a mix n match. It's cute and very much appreciated.

The issues. First Carrot is an insufferable crybaby. I don't mind that she's crying, I mind how the voice actress wails. It's grating and I didn't like hearing it at all. I literally wanted to reach into the screen and punch her to get her to shut up. I liked Carrot, her route was awkward and I didn't feel it was well written, but I don't have any other complaints. She's a great character especially in all other routes.

Second, the sub heroines. This requires some explanation. Technically they aren't married after their wedding. They still have to file everything but this certainly meets the criteria of a common law wedding link
In almost every legal jurisdiction, including Japan, if you don't have time to get married or access to a judge or justice to marry you, you are still considered legally married if you share property together, introduce your partner as you husband/wife to others, and such. They get dressed up in wedding attire, share vows, wear rings, and call each other husband and wife. Every court in Japan would uphold this as a wedding even if they haven't properly filed, so I listed their traits as such. Still, this seems to be permission for Mikado to cheat on his wives?

GOD
FUCKING
DAMMIT
Come on man. He fucks a sub heroine in every route. He straight up sneaks off to fuck Kousei Himawari on Arisu's route so he doesn't get caught. Come on. Marry her proper and add her to the Mecha-con, don't just have your protagonist pretend it's okay to cheat on his wives because he married 4 girls at once. It is not okay. Even when Carrot pushes him to fuck Taiga I didn't like it, unless all 4 wives are present and asking him to fuck her it's cheating and again, just have him marry the other girls, why make him cheat? Dammit.

Still, the girls are exceptionally cute, the routes are mostly good. The incest is cute, I love when a boy puts his blood related sister in a harem. Wish it happened more often.

< report >While I love a harem setting such as this, I'd prefer if they just went full kinetic novel and put all the routes together in a grand harem route instead of making 4 slightly different routes. I played HaremKingdom recently, which is set up pretty much the same way - the routes there are split after poly-wedding as well. It bothers me that only one of the wives gets extra attention in all events, even if the others are present most of the time and all H is 3P/group.

< report >I'm split. I want to agree with you but I didn't mind it here. Having routes allows you to focus on a heroine. Carrot's route for instance is she wants to get pregnant and it mostly focuses on this goal. There's a lot of alone time with her, helping her overcome her insecurities, helping her with her relationship with her family back home, and lots of baby making sex. Meanwhile Arisu's route mostly focuses on her doujinshi circle. Getting art done, modeling, going to conventions, again there's a lot of alone time with Arisu. Although there are 3p and 5p scenes on each route each heroine gets her husband to herself and you get some intimate sex scenes with the heroine you chose. So I appreciated that. But you're right, there's absolutely no reason they couldn't have just mashed it all together in 1 kinetic novel.
