ReviewI wouldn't recommend the game at all, the visual novel itself is designed for multiple playthroughs which is fine however the NG+ system is broken due to the downright pathetic carryover system. The carry over is actually 30%. You will reread lines for the 15-20 hours of grinding.

Story is just enough to hook you into the void. Characters are quite endearing but they doesn't have enough development to be worth the time invested in banging your head against your keyboard's ctrl key.

CG/HCGs are subpar which is standard for SoftHouseChara. Nothing else to say there.

3/10 like the 30% carryover.

< report >I'm not exactly says that the carryover system is pathetic because actually there's some way to circumvent it, although I understand the reason on why you say pathetic because you need a guide to even understand on how to increase the carryover (Most people obviously would play this blindly) and even then you can only increase it up to 50% IF you really know what you're doing on the first playthrough (At most you can only up it to 40% gain).Last modified on 2021-02-16 at 06:32

< report >I know about the quiz however it was designed to leave you with 30% carryover and that itself is bad game design. I played it with 40% and it's still shit.

< report >The "Carryover" is a percentage of your max *ever* points in a stat. You can just use the text-skip feature to skip already read lines.

I have the opposite problem as you- The newgame+ stats are too high, and it really dampens the raising sim elements once you've got a good max-point starting pool to work from, especially once the % starts to raise. I would have much preferred a more modern goal-based prestige system.

It's not a strong negative though since the game is decently well designed and balanced around that. So far I haven't felt like I've accidentally power creeped myself out of difficult content or anything, and even on short ~1-2 hour playthroughs aiming for a specific goal I tend to find a lot of new dialogue.

< report >i get frustrated on this game because i feel like i didnt progress at all so i resort to cheating by looking for the answer on the quiZ. but if you know what your doing it is more enjoyable but the problem is you skipped too much read teXt that you forgot which event goes.
i beat the objective of the game and get a 54% carry over. should i rate it 5.4/10?? just like the carry over.
if the carry over is 40% ill be less frustrated.

It's not a strong negative though since the game is decently well designed and balanced around that.
Ironically that is apparently the only well-designed/balanced thing since the actual problem is the frustrating auto-battle gameplay which overstays its welcome, while the story, characters and H is as mentioned simply awful. Rather than outdated, '08 VNs already did often better.

It's also worth mentioning despite the wiki saying that one for the 2nd route needs to win the monthly tournament, three towers (from the 1st proper route) and visit a few times, it is apparently not enough so that is also time wasted. Games developed in such a way that one does not feel like wasting time anymore, they are designed to make wasting time fun.

Did you know that you can clear floors within less of a second if you hold Ctrl while battle speed is set to fast? Considering that simple tactics are the best (since the AI is retarded), trying to make use of switching priorities is actually counter productive. Never mind that you better battle as fighter, spell sword at most, rather than as mage. Speed is everything! Not casting one thou'.

(Most people obviously would play this blindly) and even then you can only increase it up to 50% IF you really know what you're doing on the first playthrough (At most you can only up it to 40% gain).
Actually you can gain up to 60% but for obvious reasons you likely won't get all 2% per 30 floor increases with the worst ending stats.

My recommendation: (Re)play Kamidori Alchemy Meister, better gameplay, story, characters, H...

Heck, the H here is utterly disappointing not just because a lot of scenes are random pr0n books you get when inefficiently spending your time (oh and a whole week spend on shopping my behind!) but the vanilla x rapey scenes are short, CG variations are nil and as much as big nipples disgust me, the tiny nipple syndrome I ain't liking either.

< report >I remember when people hated on Noroi no Maken ni Yamitsuki Otome , though the obscure flag hunt was the big appeal of that game. If you get yourself into the right mindset, it's fun. I think the tutorial in the game not mentioning how important it is to forget about doing anything of value in a playthrough and consider a playthrough more a part of the bigger picture might be at fault there. In the end you'll have looped around at the very least 20 to 30 times there. It's fast though. My gameplay time was probably between 20 and 30 hours as well.

Though that game has a completely normal ng+ where everything carries over, but in exchange you need to spend entire playthroughs on NOTHING but clicking on training for certain things.

I'm kinda curious how this much older version carries itself, but my backlog is too big for that. Really though, you need to have a different mindset when going at this game. Your goals stretch beyond a playthrough. Skipping text is your friend.Last modified on 2021-02-17 at 08:06

< report >If you really want to play a Visual novel with gameplay elements, you should try Bunny Black, Sengoku Rance, or Kamidori Alchemy Meister which are all far superior games in all aspects.
