Review | This is one of the 3 VNs that I have always wanted to read after watching their anime adaptation (Princess Lover and Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka being the other two). I have quite a bit of nostalgia attached with this particular VN since I watched the anime while it was airing. This VN can probably be defined as the standard of a decent moege (don't want to use generic as it has negative connotations). MC ends up transferring to a prestigious all girls school alongside his sister, best friend and few students as part of the experiment of combining his original school with this one. However he ends up facing heavy opposition from the girls, with the ringleader being someone he came to know a day before. 3/4 routes of the main heroines are during the period 1st October - 25th December. During this period, MC gets to know the heroines and solve their conflicts. The writing quality is a bit varied since some routes have little to no drama while few have pretty over the top ones. Art and music are my favourite parts of it, especially the former still holds up well even after 10 years. My favourite routes in order: Airi > Miu > Ange > Sakuno I also want to read its PSP version in future since it adds Sana's route. However if you also want to do it, make sure to read Miu's route last as you would end up hating Sana in other routes for sure. In short you have cute girls and you get to romance them. Recommended especially to people who feel nostalgia for this title. |
