Review | I have a love-hate relationship with the Grisaia series. When it is good, it is excellent. But when it's bad... Yeah, I had to ignore a lot of things to keep enjoying it. However, with this ending, the balance was fortunately quite positive. I think the apex of Grisaia is in the girls. But I don't mean that in terms of their appearance or in the fan service. But in terms of their personalities and friendship. It is funny to say this because I remember when I started the first Grisaia a few years ago, I found them all annoying. After reading it for so long, I have become very attached to them. They are very captivating and have a dynamic that is always fun to follow. They are so good! I always thought the story would hold up just fine without Yuuji. And didn't this final part prove to me that this would be true? If that harem didn't exist, Grisaia could be a beautiful story about their friendship and how so broken girls could build a welcoming bubble just for them. As the weakest point, some science fiction elements being inserted into the story too abruptly. There's a part of the narrative that is really unconvincing. |
