| Review | Heard many good things about it so I might have gone in with too high expectations, but I found it to be overall somewhat of a disappointment. The common route and character chemistry at the start can be entertaining, but the later stages often felt too far fetched or over the top for me to be really engaging. I'm not reading VNs for their realism, but I guess the combination of going over the top while maintaining a serious atmosphere felt as clumsy writing to me. The characters and their chemistry is overall pretty well done. But the romance itself is straight up poorly written. While the circumstances in the relationship progress sometimes rather dramatically, the relationships themselves do not. I wouldn't say straight up avoid it, but don't go in with high expectations either. |
