ReviewThe first Visual Novel I ever played. There are space battles similar to the Homeworld series of games that you have to beat in order to progress. The girls affection for you, the protagonist, influence how well they perform in combat. While the girls can be shot down during battle and you can still win they'll lose affection so there's some grind to get battles right because if they lose affection in one battle they'll do worse in the next and ultimately spiral into a depression you can't dig them out of. Ultimately one girl will outperform all the others in combat because you're in her route. If it's Milfeulle or Mint this is pretty easy since they have AOEs but harder for Forte who's a single target killer. This also makes winning with Vanilla particularly difficult since she's a healer and if she's the strongest you won't have any power attackers.

The story is great, a straightforward science fiction story about a prince who murders his entire family and takes the throne only for his one surviving sibling to escape in a lost technology battleship and flee to the lonely part of space the protagonist is in charge of. The plan is to make it back to the capital and put them on the throne to overturn the coup d'etat and save the galaxy from his rule. So it's logical that an out of the way, fresh captain of a single tiny destroyer suddenly gets put in charge of a super battleship and the 5 pilots who protect it. Since the 5 ships the girls pilot are lost technology that runs based on the pilot's emotion it also makes some? sense that Tact's purpose is to romance the girls so they're in proper mental shape to pilot.

The girls are fun. Although they're tropes they still have their personalities. From Ranpha being the tsundere to Vanilla being the coodere watching how they open up to Tact is enjoyable. The story for each girl is worth playing. If you enjoy the art there's nothing holding back a player from enjoying themselves playing this.

Mint best girl.
