| Review | This ended up being one of my first real visual novels and I almost kind of regret it. Grisaia manages to do so much so incredibly well and sets the bar so high that once you read it, a lot of other novels feel disappointing by comparison. One of the rarest things in this medium is having a likeable protagonist that keeps you reading more than the girls themselves, and that is exactly what we get from Yuuji. Not that the girls aren't great either, all of the girls have very distinct personalities that works great and the whole cast has this chemistry together that you just don't see very often. Every scene feels like it has something to offer and you never feel like you are reading some padded text. Definitely give Grisaia a shot if you are interested in what this medium has to offer. |
