Getting bad ending [Chain Mail] at the first playthrough is sucks, plus if the game itself really boring, it's just overkill.

At the first scene I thought this would be a pretty good horror game. Combining visual novel with psychological horror side scrolling game. But I was wrong.
The concept I can say it's sucess to make me wants to play till the end moreover with its 5 obtainable endings. This game also serves a good horror atmosphere on its lighting and audio design.

Just like other cliche horror game objective, player will first control Mio and have to find her two friends and then get out of the hotel. The same pattern always used like one character will stuck in a situation that will bring death to them and the other character will have to help to save. You'll understand this after playing the game at least until the scene of Mio in the bathroom. Not really hard to solve, and the fanservice can be enjoyed for a little while. There's also an easily predictable twist after finding Nana.
Overall I think the common route before raching the ending really mediocre. Nothing to be proud of. Some may call this trash. I agree, but at least it still enjoyable thanks for the atmosphere.

The gameplay itself the worst point here. Long way with no run button. Yes, you can't run and the characters walk very slowly. Just imagine when you are on the 3rd floor and you forgot something located on the 1st floor. No more than a depressing moment. The character will run only when the mascot is chasing. Maybe you'll make use of the situation to be able to run? I haven't tried myself but I think it'll work.

The mascot which is the villain here can appeared out of nowhere even right in front of you after turn on your flash light. It might be good as a horror game, but it just annoying which appeared so unpredictable and sometimes too frequent so that the player can't continue to the next objective but only back and forth to the safe room.

The objective itslef also really vague and no indicator. Let's say you find an item while you are really confused on where you should go and you can't check what's your current objective (there's no such a feature or maybe I just can't find it?) You will definitely lost and try to find out what's the use of the item itself, in every room, in every floor, with no clue.

Again, I love the concept, I love how it animated just like other qureate works and I love the atmosphere by its lighting and sound design. But the gameplay from the beginning till the end really badly executed. It might for the immersive horror experience or whatsoever, but I just couldn't feel it. I've lost interest to get the rest 4 endings.
