ReviewMaking * Lovers offers a nice little change from the high school setting we so often see in moeges. The protagonist and most heroines are all working (or unemployed) adults living their lives until the story intertwines one another.
That at least was the selling point for me. But that breath of fresh air was not the only thing that kept me reading; M*L has a certain charm with its comedy that had me engaged for the time I was reading it. A warning, however, the comedy is a bit overly silly, and will not hit off with everyone.
The art style is good, and the voice acting was in point. The plots were not all too impressive, but given the Sol/comedy nature of the game, it was not a nagging issue throughout.
One warning is that one route is so good it makes every other route lackluster.

< report >Lol are you referring to Karen? I love her route but since I played it first, I felt bored on playing the other routes.

< report >Your review is almost entirely positive, yet you rated it 5/10.
May I ask why?

< report >Karen is a fun character for maybe 30 minutes, then that vanishes and gets replaced by pretty much nothing. It's a kinda good route, similar to Mashiro's, but the best? Nah.Last modified on 2021-08-13 at 17:03

< report >#3 Well, I do admit some stuff are repetitive(in all routes actually. still enjoyable tho) Anyway, who do you think is the best heroine then?

< report >#2 I don't think a 5/10 is a bad score. It's "so-so" on vndb's suggested writing guide, which I interpret as "I didn't hate it, I didn't love it".
Also, the review is honest to its core, one route truly did make all the other (except one) routes lackluster to me which probably made the experience a bit less fun for me.

< report >Can i ask which route you were referring to here? Full disclosure, i started with Saki, which was meh to me. But Mashiro's route gave me so much whiplash with the dissonance in tone breaking down the wall between the apartments, one scene after you were supposed to feel bad for her, also made me drop the game before.
So i want to know if there is anything here which might be good or great even? And doesn't just rely on maximum over the top comedy, that can only work for so long until it gets boring, imo.Last modified on 2022-07-18 at 02:43

< report >#6 The route I liked the most was Karen's route. It's been a while since I've read this, but from what I remember the comedy was there, yet the route maintained a structured plotline and the story it told was pretty feel-good . I think it's worth a shot picking it back up for her route, but I don't think you should walk into it expecting a masterpiece.
