ReviewI'm not sure why, but out of all the VNs that I read, one character from Loveriche managed to stick to my memory in a weird way. While this is a bizarre manner to start the review, it's more or less why I gave it a 10.
The VN itself is properly done even if the engine has some errors or some weird glitches. I'm not sure if the problem is native or comes together with the translation, but I'm not going to consider this as much of a problem as I would usually thanks to what the VN stands for, meaning the story.
The art was top notch, on par with what Yuzusoft has to offer in my opinion. The backgrounds in most VNs are rarely of any importance in the story, while in this VN most of the backgrounds carry a certain weight together with the rest of the story.
Now, for the story.. honestly, the premise was sometimes the inconsistent point or straight annoying as the protagonist only displayed the 'donkan' trait in this part. Even so, as the story advances and the trio is connected in the secret route the premise sent shivers down my back. The 'flaw' was intentional to create something special once all the points are connected. The secret route is not a one character route, no, the secret route is the convergence point.
Finally, regarding the characters, while I can expand my opinion on all of them, one thing that I have to start with is the unsung heroes, the background characters that sometimes lack even a CG that in this story actually had substance and value to the story. This, paired with how everything start clicking once the story develops holds a lot of importance.
The 'targets' are normally rated from high to low, but weirdly, I find it hard to consider that there was one route that had less of an importance that the others as in the end, the value you give to each of them by growing attached to them is finally rewarded at the end. And so, while I'm going to contradict myself, I find one character to stand out only after taking in consideration everything. Sylvie.
Sylvie is certainly the balance between both light and shadow. She carries herself with dignity of something different that the majority, nobility I would call it, the ideal type of course, but nevertheless, a character that knows exactly what kind of power rests in her hands, how heavy the responsibilities she carries are while never showing weakness. I could write more, but at the same time this is something that it's better to understand by yourself.
Finally, a standing ovation towards the entire company that delivered such a game. I understand that the fan disk diverges from something important, but while I highly value that point, I wouldn't mind something sweet on the side so I hold my fingers crossed that the translation for the fan disk will come faster.
